They changed my life…read more I was obese for many years and had all but given up. A friend referred me to their clinic because they did the HMR program. I'll admit I was skeptical because I had struggled with my weight for years without success. The Physician I met with asked me to just give up one week of my life and see what happened. After a week of religiously following their regimen I saw results on the scale. I went in weekly for weight checks and vitals and to purchase the shakes. I remained on a liquid fast for about 2 months at which time my clothes were falling off. The clinic then gradually transitioned me back to food and worked with me to teach me how to keep the weight off by keeping track of my protein and caloric intake as well as staying active. I lost about 70 pounds over the course of 7-8 months. Its not magic and there are no shortcuts. This is not something that will happen by just taking a pill. Like any good sustained weight loss program they give you the tools to get you to your weight loss goal. Their protein shakes, bars, puddings, drinks, soups, etc are tasty and convenient ways to help you maximize nutrition while minimizing calories. The bottom line is that you have to put in the work of sticking to the program they help you create. They will provide you with endless moral support and encourage you throughout the process.

I never felt judgment for any of my behaviors or poor food choices. And truly, that is Britt's strength- she is so encouraging and supportive! I have a pretty good understanding of nutrition and like to cook myself, but Britt blew me away. She is so knowledgeable and makes it easy to understand the do's and dont's of nutrition. I definitely picked up some new knowledge. Her structure and meal plan was easy to follow and all the recipes were DELICIOUS. My husband was totally on board because everything tasted just wonderful. Nothing was too time consuming or difficult to prepare which is key since I'm a busy working gal. Britt also focuses on your mental/spiritual wellness too. I received only a partial refund, and despite multiple attempts over several weeks to follow up, including contacting Dr. Kalani directly, the remaining balance has still not been issued. I also had difficulty ordering supplements through the office. After waiting nearly a month without receiving them or clear communication, I had to find alternative ways to get what I needed. Most concerning, during one appointment, another adult patient repeatedly attempted to get close to and touch my underage son. I clearly told the individual not to touch my child. Dr. Kalani was present and said "come on, dude," but the behavior continued and the situation was not stopped or addressed. I am not making assumptions about intent; however, as a parent, this was extremely upsetting. Because of these issues including the unresolved refund, lack of follow-through on orders, and the situation with my son, I no longer feel comfortable bringing my son or myself to this office and have had to find a new chiropractor. Overall, the lack of communication, accountability, and attention to patient safety makes this experience concerning and frustrating. I hope the office improves its practices for future patients.
