When I found out I had gestational diabetes it was recommended I get a dietitian. The place my…read moredoctor suggested had the earliest appointment a month out. I couldn't wait that long which is why Summerfield saved the day! I needed an appointment right away and they were able to schedule me that week. In fact, they had 3 dietitians with different times as options for what worked for me. It was amazing and such a relief. I meet with Amanda on zoom. She was easy to talk to and very encouraging and helpful. She did not specialize in gestational diabetes but was a great resource and meeting weekly with her really helped. She was very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. We used an app to track food and numbers which allowed Amanda to see what was working for me and make suggestions when things weren't working. I'd recommend Summerfield for dietary needs!

Making the decision to be healthier is easy - starting & following through is the hard part. For me, I had to be emotionally ready to step into this program. She came to my office for group sessions and then we each had one on one sessions. She actually listens (even when I had a shitty week and was completely stressed out), gave me much needed congratulations for what I considered nothing - she saw small wins, and encouraged me to keep taking baby steps to achieve my goals. I've lost 10 lbs and feel so much better! 20 more to go but now I'm excited about it instead of dreading it. When they say custom, they mean it. Every session is confidential but my coworkers and I would talk about it ourselves. One has an IBS issue, one an alcohol issue, one a thyroid issue... we got general information but then in the private sessions, it was tailored to each of us. She's very intelligent, but not arrogant about it. Kind, compassionate, totally normal & non-judgemental, and full of super ideas to make changing habits easy. Well... Easier LOL I'll never love okra but the recipes and support she's given me are things I'll carry with me. It's covered by my insurance so I'm psyched about that! Thanks Summerfield! Extra thanks to Sarah!

Noelle and Shelly are personable and always make me feel like I am their only client! Dr Griffin takes her time to explain everything and the outcomes have been transformational!

It is my understanding that this practice was well esteemed under the former providers. However, I…read morefollowed Dr. Griffin over from her former practice and have been tremendously disappointed. While her personality isn't the warmest or engaging, I can deal with that as long as I am getting my needs addressed. When I switched to Tidal Wellness, I was told that the monthly fee would include having access to the doctor and administration via text or phone after hours. This was especially appealing since the main office phone rarely worked or was answered. This is definitely not as advertised. While you can text, it does not mean you will get a response. And I cannot count how many times the office phone was not functioning. Between the inability to get in touch with staff and the dirty exam table paper that still had the prior patient's imprints on it, I was a bit shocked. In addition, if you believe masks are important during a pandemic (as literally every other medical provider I have been to does), you may want to reconsider. I have never seen the doctor wear one, and her staff are hit or miss (they usually only put one on if you do). However, I continued to give the benefit of the doubt and attributed this to being overwhelmed with the start of a new business. Also, I really did not feel like starting over with someone new, so I continued. I am very active in my medical care and I believe it is important to be proactive. I ask questions and make sure I understand. The final straw came when I requested some simple labs be run. Dr Griffin obliged. However when I get the labs back, only a portion of them were run, but she had added on labs that were unnecessary. I realize I am not a doctor, but because I was the one requesting the labs and it wasn't due to actual symptoms occurring, there was Absolutely no medical basis for her to run these labs. A sidenote... My rheumatologist had run these exact special labs less than 30 days prior and they were completely fine. Now I am trying to battle with my insurance company to get them to pay for the same labs that were done in such a short period of time. There is the potential that I may be stuck with this bill. I have attempted numerous times to reach out to Dr Griffin to professionally and politely discuss this issue. She has avoided me. I stopped in to make an appointment and spoke with Nick. He scheduled me for a Telehealth appointment but then never put it in the system. When I called at the time of my appointment, he admitted his error, but then he responded with " that happens sometimes." Neither he nor Dr Griffin showed any real interest in trying to resolve this situation. I am not one to leave reviews; however, when a patient is paying money out of pocket for services, they should be aware of what they are receiving. And when we are talking about health...we deserve better as patients. I will happily pay the monthly fee for the remainder of this month and for next month. Based on my experiences going into the office, it is clear to me that tidal wellness needs it more than I do. The professionalism of this office is grossly suspect. I would caution anyone to do their research and be very careful when choosing whether or not to make this practice your point of contact for medical care. My recommendation for Dr. Griffin is that she spend some time training on office management. While she may have medical training, business management is clearly lacking. When you choose to run a business, you are choosing all of it.

There has been one issue with appointment time confusion, but it was easily and amicably resolved. I hit it off with my therapist, so I highly recommend finding one that you do click with. My situation includes caring for a medically complex child and I have been supported wonderfully by the Chrysalis Center. They have friendly office staff, plenty of space and privacy, and offer comfortable seating. They do have a late cancellation policy, which you agree to when filling out new client paperwork, that makes sense to me. I've paid it more than a few times and while it stings, I understand it. While they specialize in eating disorders, they offer much more. Marriage counseling was a really good experience. I saw a nutritionist briefly, but the timing was wrong for me so I didn't continue. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about this business and it's employees.

The things that she said to me were unbelievable. There was just a bad vibe about this place as soon as I walked in. Two out of the three times I left crying. The only thing nice about this place was the really sweet front desk girls. They were so friendly and kind. The therapist should have been ashamed of herself. My insurance covered most of it so I don't know what the value is, but if I paid out of pocket, I would have reported her for being a bully. This whole place needs a good saging to get the negativity out.

Josh is a wealth of knowledge related to health, fitness, and nutrition. He has given me incredibly…read moreeffective programing and really helped me dial in my form for various movements, all while keeping it enjoyable and engaging. When you work with Josh you don't get a cookie cutter fitness or nutrition plan. He works with you to discover your goals, likes, dislikes, strengths, and challenges and creates a program that meets you where you are, is enjoyable, and takes you where you want to go. I've dealt with chronic back pain for over 20 years and have always tried to manage it using a combination of stretching and meds. I've done physical therapy for it, and while the pain has lessened, it's still there. One session I mentioned it to Josh and he walked me through 1 brief stretch and 1 brief exercise that helped "reset" the nerves in my lower back. I have started doing these two movements a few times each week, and my back hasnt been painfree like this since I was 17 years old. It's hard to put a price on the value Josh brings to the table. Make the jump and book a consultation. You will not regret it!

Josh got me to where I needed to be for my adventure and beyond. He helped me build regular exercise habits after years of neglecting that part of my life. I developed strength, flexibility, and conditioning with Josh's virtual coaching program. He tailored workouts for me by setting my baseline to where I was at the start until I could steadily feel and see the progress. I'm continuing to this day with Josh's coaching and encouragement as I prepare for my next level adventure! Thank you Josh.
