“The Kratom was in gel capsules, and didn't seem to work at first, but after uncapping it and emptying it into orange juice it began to work.”

My small worker owned cooperative was having a day long meeting and we used the community room. The…read morecommunity room is free to use but you have to use east side catering. It was a great space with large whiteboards and a a projector, plenty of natural light and easily moved tables and the food WAS AWESOME. We had the mini-cookie and bar platter, "boxed lunch" sandwiches and a veggie platter along with many many custom coffee drinks. The cheese selection was very impressive. The staff were all incredibly warm and great at their jobs and coordinating details for us. Special shoutout to Sophie who coordinates the community room! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

The short rib section was sadly empty so I will have to shop at a few other grocery stores for my Christmas entree. As for the hot and ready to eat foods I grabbed, I had the vegetable egg rolls, sesame tofu, and fried rice. The egg rolls and tofu were good and passable for a quick cheap lunch, but the fried rice was near inedible. Veggies were cooked and tender, flavor was good, but the rice was entirely undercooked. I struggled to even find a single grain of rice that wasn't raw and hard and since I had mixed my rice with my tofu it nearly ruined lunch. I wouldn't call this experience indicative of of Eastsides typical good quality food, so I wont judge too harshly, but I hope this experience wont repeat itself.

Has it really been over five years since my last review? Well, I'll cut to the chase: this co-op…read morestill rocks. I came in here wanting something fermented and found just what I was looking for: spicy kimchi. I was delighted to see that they have a great selection of fish-free kimchis along with the traditional anchovy and shrimp containing kinds. There's even a local brand that looks intriguing (next time). I also perused the gift section and bought myself a new lunch bag. I admired the gorgeous alpaca items--the hats are fun and they have some of the most gorgeous knots I've ever seen. Don't miss their mittens and gloves: warm, beautiful, and oh-so-functional (you can fold the tops off for extra dexterity!). I also went through the supplements and beauty section and bought some vitamins (I do love my vitamins) and a lip balm. The lip balms here are all really good, and it's easy to find petroleum free if you prefer. All the ones that I looked at were largely plant-based, though many contain beeswax. Very friendly staff and ample parking make this a great place to grab yourself a treat. (While I wasn't shopping for produce today, I love to go through the produce section. They have an excellent selection of everything, including a wide selection of fresh mushrooms and fresh kale that you can't find in most stores. They also have bulk fresh cranberries! It's a great place to let your culinary imagination run wild (and make your dreams come true if you are so inclined).

The staff is consistently helpful & friendly, and they have incredible employee retention that take great pride in their selections, sourcing, and are always excited to share about what they think is fun in stock and make conversation about what you are preparing with your purchases. I'm a lookerrrr, so I loved taking my time to really look around. The store is bright, clean, and stocked. Good variety: groceries, deli and bakery items, personal care products, and even a small jewelry section tucked in. Prices felt fair....nothing that gave me sticker shock. Didn't have much interaction with staff aside from a quick (and quiet) checkout, but everyone seemed friendly from a distance. Parking was fine, which is always a bonus. I'm not from the Minneapolis area, so I wouldn't make a special trip just to come here, but if I'm nearby and need something, I'd happily stop in again.
