Whether it's wanting to take a break from the large platters we have in the morning usually on these trips are just genuinely craving something sweet, most donut shops are just okay. Ralphs was a genuine find. Not only was the glazed exactly like in an old-fashioned--the sourdough taste and such good nook and crannies texture-wise--but that maple bar was probably the best one I've ever eaten. The donut was soft and pillowy with a good chew to it. But that maple topping was like the perfect texture; it was runny but still had real heft to it. It was like someone put pure molten maple on top and if you shook it too hard like a wet dog it would all just go flying. Every bite I wish I could repeat because it was a donut that seemed to go by too fast. The counter person couldn't have been more friendly. She was like tidal wave of warmth and kindness to us. I wish all folks who worked morning shifts could be this nice. The ambiance was good. It was a little tiny with the counter space. But the fact it is a donut shop and not a restaurant makes the fact they could pack in twenty or so seats at all amazing. And of course they'd be packed with customers sitting shoulder-to-shoulder. If I lived close to a donut shop like this , I'd want to come every morning for my donuts and coffee. I'd definitely get fat here. Overall, this is my ideal donut shop. There's a reason we made the 60 mile drive here for a few donuts and milk, and then drove 60 miles back to the hotel. There are just some donut joints that are worth a 120-mile donut run.

The smell of fresh yeast and powdered sugar. Ralphs. Please never change. Not the original donut cases. Not the recipes. Nothing. We drove all the way from Nashville to Cookeville for the privilege of buying a dozen of these heavenly donuts. Nothing inventive really. But a flavor profile that wins every time.

Extremely knowledgeable staff and best of all - they let you sample, "try before you buy" they call it. They also offer free meal plans. But it doesn't really disappoint me considering Bob has never advertised his store as strictly "sports cards". It's always been "collectors den" which varies from a great selection of comic books that are greatly priced and still does have seem decent sports cards in the shop as well. I can't really blame him for switching to Magic because the store is located on a college campus and Magic is HUGE there and he probably makes a killing on it considering that there is ALWAYS people in there either buying or playing magic and he always gets the new magic cards in. He also has tournaments every week. Bobs also has a good selection supplies for cards and comics, which are also fairly priced. His staff is also nice and and friendly. Although I do wish it was more of a sports shop like it was I can't blame him for making a smart business move. His store is right in the middle of Magic haven. They also sell Pokemon cards that are newer and they are also cheaper than wal mart which was pleasing to me. If your looking for comics and gaming cards this place it perfect for you. And if your looking for sports cards it's sad to that they are better places in town for sports cards but I would still recommend Bobs to anyone.

Best delivery app for Cookeville, believe me cause I've tried them all. Even with all the big…read morecompanies coming in like Doordash, Urber Eats, etc., nothing beats a local business. Their prices are pretty fair in my opinion, they deliver your food quickly, keep you updated the whole time on where your food is at, and even offer a convenient app. What more could you ask for? The other big business companies only offer delivery services if you live in so many miles of the business (so you basically have to live right in town). Plus, because there are so many of them that came all at once, there's no telling when you'll actually get your food. They don't pay people to sit around and wait for orders, they only pay them when they get an order. So if you're like me and are looking for just some extra money, you aren't going to waste gas sitting in a parking lot in the middle of town waiting for an order you May or may not get just for an extra $20. So my point is, even if you are able to order from these companies, there's no guarantee there will be a driver available to deliver your food to you. They are good at what they do and keep to their word, simple as that.
