1. Asking for salt and pepper brought me salt and a bowl of jalapeño peppers. Winning!
2. Ordering Huevos Divorciados yielded something I knew was not that. Bringing this to my server's attention, they removed my plate and remade my order correctly.
3. The menu didn't mention the presence of ham in Huevos Divorciados but it was there. At Café La Gloria, Huevos Divorciados is decidedly not a vegetarian dish.
4. A street performer stood near my al fresco table and crooned a lovely version of "Hallelujah".
5. The menu, at least the breakfast/brunch offerings, are more $, maybe $$, but definitely not $$$. My meal was very inexpensive and included coffee, juice, and fresh fruit.
Decent food and good value. Nothing special, but the outdoor seating is pleasant and the neighborhood surroundings are nice and did I mention those jalapeños?
