I accidentally went here one day as my toddler had been on a smoothie kick. Apparently he is the only child who does not like fruit and berries, so in a bid to get some more plants in his diet my husband realized the kiddo likes smoothies. So I yelped nearby smoothie spots, and this one came up, and as we walked up I was confused because it is literally a small section within the LA Fitness gym. You don't need to be a member to get a smoothie or juice though, and I wasn't about to repack my toddler into the car without the goods. We got a blueberry/banana with protein (my kid is gonna be swole one day), and oh my gosh it was so good! Anyway, at the time I was about 3 months postpartum, and decided to join the gym in no small part because of that fateful smoothie. Yes I wanted my pre-preggo body back, yes the gym is conveniently close to our home, but my kid and I get tasty smoothies almost every time we go because they are so good. Both of the gentlemen there who we have been served by are Roy and Israel (hope I spelled your names right!), and they are both so kind and patient, and they give me an extra small cup to share with my kiddo. We have only tried strawberry/banana and blueberry/banana with protein, because I am boring and he is a kid. But one day I'm going to go crazy and try the mocha peanut butter or a juice. They also have preworkout drinks, water, and protein shakes in the coolers, but the juice and smoothies are your best bet. Anyway, this is a long-winded way of saying that even though the location is strange, it's worth it to pop in and try it out! read more

I almost didn't find this place, it's inside the la fitness building. I asked the receptionist if the juice bar was in side she said yes but said she wasn't sure if it was open. It was open... The service at the juice bar was none... The lady that was working there looks like she was depressed lol, she didn't even ask me what I wanted... She just said yes and looked at me. I actually had a good conversation with a random person who was standing there, I say that was the best part about this juice bar.(in my first time experience) The juice came in a foam cup, can't see the beautiful natural colors. I don't like any real juice places that puts their drinks in a foam cup..... It's not very appealing and it shows that they don't have the enthusiasm for juicing and healthy diet. It was 5 bucks for my juice, not sure the size because she didn't ask me anything or told me anything other than "5 bucks", no please no nothing! Yazzi's customer service is through the roof. Super personable and kind, someone you can talk to after you work a sweat and just wanna relax. She makes great smoothies, can't taste the protein, they have coconut water options, chia seeds. Overall happy with their selection. One of the things that can't be discounted is the ease of transactions. Everything is a solid even price. If it's busy just drop exact change and be on your way. Example, $5 smoothie is $5. But if this review was based on service I'd give it a zero. I waited in line patiently, which is fine. But when it was my turn to order she let some guy cut in front of me that strolled up to the side of the juice bar and took his order first. I mean really? I drink smoothies three days a week. So, I am always on the lookout for a good smoothie place. Kearney Mesa is basically void of good smoothies, except the pricey Robeks. This other great place hidden inside the LA Fitness is a must go place for any smoothie lover. For $5, you will get a tasty and healthy 24 oz smoothie with protein.
