We can honestly say ALL the Staff are polite, helpful and are certainly not stuck up and treat everyone equally. My wife ran her own hairdressing business for over 20+ years and so extremely difficult to please when it comes to having her hair cut Dave @ Alcatraz came highly recommended by friend of a friend & she says that she will not let anyone else near her hair now Dave's bookings diary is well booked in advance so he can't be that expensive or stuck up LOL. I believe that because the polish was an older and therefore thicker, it caused there to be too much polish on my nails. There was a definite huge rise on the tip of my nail as a result of this, and I am not new at manicures. If i am paying £19 for a basic manicure (that didn't even remove most of my cuticle), then I expect it to last at least a few days. Overall: Manicures are a no-no. Hair is so-so. If you are desperate, then go-go.

They are situated within the Marthlesham Leisure centre and I have been going to them every 4 weeks for 5 months now and it has been amazing. A standard facial costs £32.50 including a back and shoulder massage :) I think this is the best of both worlds you get the relaxing massage but also the pamper all in one. I would highly recommend them especially since they are not located in Ipswich town centre and easily accessible from the A12.

I went here a few times years ago and got a half decent haircut, then one day as I wandered along the street after being rejected by the edge I saw this woman in flip flops sitting on a little chair outside smoking a fag. I needed a trim so wandered in, as I did she slowly headed my way and smelling like an ashtray she proceeded to cut my hair, I thought what the hell appearances can be deceiving. She made a right hack job of my hair, it took her 3 attempts to even get it half decent. After she had finished her lesson in butchery by Stevie Wonder (sorry Stevie) I asked how long had she been doing hair, at this point she looked at her watch! This woman has no real haircutting experience, so unless you want to look like Edmund Blackadder in series 1. Avoid here if the flip flop fag lady is outside.

The products are displayed well and easy enough to find, but if you do have any trouble then there are pelnty of staff who are more then willing to help. I love the little trail size bottles they do of things like shampoo, shower gel, moisturiser, which are perfect for if you are going on holiday. They usually have some sort of deals going on whcih are displayed throughout the store. They also have there own magazine which shows the up to date and current promotions running. There never seems to be much of a wait in the queue here as rhe staff serve quickly and efficiently. They aslo have a great range of pampering proiducts good for a girly night in or just for a treat.
