I went there for six years whilst learning to play the sitar and was amazed at the number of concerts that are held there. Most of these are performed by musicians who learn here, but the Conservatoire has also played host to some big classical artistes from around the world. The nearest parking is the Town Hall car park close to the Mailbox so if you have others with you that find it difficult to walk, you're better off dropping them nearby first. The building is in desperate need of a facelift and the facilities are outdated. A large coffee shop or bar would be useful for concert-goers too.

For the past month or so I've been going to the college on Wednesday's supporting a fashion design workshop. The college is actually pretty big and looks like it has a diverse number of courses. It also has a fabulous gym, for those who love exercising a lot. See that's not for me!! I'm more interested in the vending machines, where I can find my daily supply of chocolate. The fashion lab the Talent 2012 participants have been working in at the college is really nice and it has so much equipment facilities. Individualism is encouraged by a dress code that is non-uniform based. The buildings and playground are well-maintained, with lots of play equipment. The teachers and parents are gung-ho political without being prissy and they managed to recently overturn ill-advised plans to expand the school. How about the teaching? The children are taught in large groups in the classroom and they carry out activity based learning outside of the class room in smaller groups. Friends of Kings Heath Primary School run fund-raising events. Likeable, well-meaning parents make up the school governors. My only criticism would be that the school need to place an emphasis on neat handwriting, as there is a tendency for pretty spidery writing from the kids that I know who go there. Remember: this is not an OFSTED report!

There are 3 dance studios located inside. One of them is a bit of a pain to learn in if your class is busy. It has a support pillar right down to the floor in the centre of the room. But the other two are brilliant with no obstacles and good sound systems to boot. What's nice about this place (besides it's great location, cafe on site and friendly staff) is the seasonal changing of the classes. I'm currently taking a beginners commercial dance that was just added in January. There is also a new dance fitness class that works every muscle in your body! Classes are generally between £5 to £7. You don't have to reserve a spot either. Just show up and pay that day. The only problem I found is if the class is not heavily attended it is cancelled. It's the drawback of offering drop in classes. People may not show! It happened to my zumba class twice. Which is why you should bring your friends! Whether you are passionate for dance, looking for a fun way to exercise, or just looking to meet people, Dance Workshop offers something for everyone!

They offer brilliant facilites for both pupils and people within the community. As it is a sports college, it has brilliant sports facilities including a gym, an astro turf football pitch and more than one large sports hall. The sixthform offered here is fantastic, and a new dedicated sixthform building was built recently and adds to the schools dedication to its pupils. Having spent 7 years here, I think I can pretty much say it is a superb school and deserves all credit given to it. Both staff and pupils have worked hard over the years to keep a good reputation for the school and are continuing to do so.

Some people may know that is did face a closure a year or so ago. But luckily is stayed open due to a lot of teachers and parents helping to get the school out of its predicament. There seem to be alot of children there now days and its really good to see. The teachers are fantastic and do there job really well and that care about the children which always helps and they are always there to give a helping hand.

The latter has a wide range of equipment and a pay as you go service which is great if you don't want to fork out a big amount in gym fees (only to give up three weeks later). Other facilities worthy of note is the iCycle service - this is a cycle repair shop and service that allows QAC students to become cycle repair and maintenance mechanics.
