She is the crème de la crème of massage therapist. Her hands magically find all the knots at any pressure. This time Angela was booked out and I desperately needed a massage for severe nerve pain down my leg. The easy to use online booking app showed Jen was available the next day so I booked the appointment. I found the building...it says 50 Penn but their address is 11900 NWEXP. Anyway, my pain was so bad I was bent over at the waist and dragging my leg behind me looking for the elevator. By the grace of God it appeared right in front of me. Once on the massage table, I found I could not lay flat on my stomach. Jen very gently helped me find a comfortable position on the table. She started at my foot, which I didn't understand bc my low back and calf were screaming. Jen immediately touched a spot on my foot and then very gently I hardly felt where she was, at times, moved up my leg to my back until I could lay flat. When she was done I walked out upright. I felt such relief. It was the best surprise of the year!

Here's what I do know: They were able to get me in quickly. The staff is very nice, as is Dr Yandell. The treatments seem to work well so far, and although my first visit took a long time, my second visit was about 15 minutes total from the time I checked in until the minute I walked out the door, so I feel better about the time commitment. It was really nice to see pictures of my spine - that really put my worried mind at ease. I feel like I should keep up with whatever I can to help keep my spine happy and healthy. My mom has vey serious back problems that started when she was around by age, so I have to stop picking up my kids all the time and pretending it doesn't hurt me to move furniture!

Overnight our power got knocked out from the storms & our phones failed to charge as a result rendering fast asleep in my bed until 10 minutes before my appt time! I was dazed & panicked about missing. Lisa handled me with such grace & patience. I insisted on paying the difference for the time lost on the account of my tardiness. Nikki met me with such a warm, welcoming energy & handled me with care & concern as I hobbled down the hallway to the service room. To say Nikki was absolutely amazing is an understatement. From start to finish, Nikki made sure that I was comfortable and relaxed. They had a warm and welcoming energy which immediately put me at ease. During the massage, Nikkie showcased her exceptional skills and knowledge of the human body. She was able to target all of the areas of tension and stress that I had been experiencing and relieve them completely for my IT bands, neck, & hip joints. So I put my clothes back on and advised the therapist what was going on. We then changed the sheets together and then started the session. Rough start to a some R&R. Truly it's rather jarring that something like this happened at a place like this during a time when Covid is spreading violently. To make matters worse, there was no protective pad between the extremely thin sheet and the wool padding underneath. And if that was considered the protective layer, then that needed to be changed out as well. I couldn't even fully relax during my massage because all I could think about is the bacteria and dead skin cells that may have collected in the bed from the person who laid there before me. Gross. I spoke to someone who seemed to be the manager, but all she could offer was an apology. She said she might be able to offer a credit for the next time I visit, but unfortunately she did not follow through with that. In a professional setting like a massage therapy school, you would think the first thing you teach is to take every precaution for Covid safety and customer satisfaction. That just wasn't the case here.
