My California CNA skills exam was confirmed in the official TMU/Headmaster system, but days before the test the school emailed and told me it was cancelled and that it "would not take place" if I showed up. TMU told me my exam was still scheduled and even had to call the school to remind them they were required to test me. On test day there were other students testing at the site, even though the administrator had told me there was no exam and that exams would no longer be offered there, which left me feeling singled out and misled. Throughout the program, it often felt like some students received more support and opportunities than others, which gave me the impression of favoritism rather than equal treatment. The school promotes itself as professional and student‑focused, but the way my exam was handled did not feel fair or transparent. I recommend future students closely monitor their TMU account, save all confirmations, and be ready to advocate for themselves.

The phlebotomy instructor, Mr.K is a no nonsense instructor, he is there to make sure you are prepared and ready to take the NHA exam. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He is a great instructor but be ready to work hard, practice and learn. He is willing to allow students who have passed the exam to come and practice which is always a plus to gain more experience.

California Medical Training Center is one of the best training centers in the San Fernando Valley!…read more This was my 3rd time renewing my ACLS & PALS certification with California Medical Training Center! Ever since I found them back in 2023, I have been so fortunate to find such a good group of very passionate, knowledgeable, and funny instructors for all my class needs. Both Mike (my pervious instructor) and Robert (my most recent instructor) are great at teaching and help us with not only knowing the knowledge material, BUT also applying that knowledge material to the real world. I always feel so much better and more capable to handle BLS & ACLS/PALS codes after each class! Now, time for the logistics. Parking is either to the back of the building, or on the streets. Very spacious street parking. Class sizes are usually smaller, with a MAX capacity of 10-12 students, depending on sign-ups. CPR mannequins (both adult/child and newborn infants) are in clean, intact, and great for practicing CPR. The adult/child CPR has LED lights to indicate good compression depth and rates. Class structure has (2) 10-15 minutes breaks, and the testing material at the end with (MegaCodes & official test). MegaCodes are scary, but Robert and Mike both made the environment feel safe to help calm down major nerves. Restrooms are located to the left of the classrooms. Local area has great food! Past the 405 freeway into Mission Hills, there is the Olivo at Mission Hills! Great food options, and quick enough for you to get a bite if you decide to do the PALS/ACLS renewal all on the same day haha! Not to far of a drive.
