I love NOW YOGA! Dropped by to a class yesterday feeling a bit low and left the class energized with a clear mind. The space itself is beautiful, huge paper globes hang from the highest cealing. The teachers I've had are always good, each one teaches very differently but all great. The class yesterday was soft and gentle but I pushed it a little farther and that went well too. Looking forward to doing more yoga this spring and summer there. read more

I found this place on ClassPass & decided to sign up! it's your typical studio set up there is one studio which all classes are ran out of, you can rent yoga mats for two dollars. I have awesome merch so you can buy anything from water bottles to hats to clothing...stickers are free! I took a class with Heather it was a booty loving class she was totally awesome atmosphere has a very positive vibe to it all and they have these little tokens that you can place on your yoga mat if you do not want the instructor to correct your posture and this is something new that I've never seen or noticed before anywhere else! read more

I cannot recommend this studio more highly. Augusta and Melissa are kind, generous, creative and all around lovely. The space is calm and welcoming and the classes are varied and convenient. They also offer numerous special events and retreats, one of which I recently attended in Mexico. In addition to the retreat itself being amazing, I made what I feel will be life long connections. Good people attract good people. Also. Supporting a small, woman owned, all-inclusive business feels really good. read more

This review is based on a class I took with Lauren Bielenberg called Strength + Flow. To be honest I was resistant to this studio as I had a judgement it was more of the 'fast, hard and sculpt' type of fitness rather than yoga. In fact if I remember correctly many of the classes have a sculpt naming- which in my mind is not exactly yoga (even westernize variety). Don't get me wrong I want to work hard- but I often get confused with the mix of fitness and yoga practice Anywho.... new year rolls in and I decided to put my judgement aside and take advantage of their 40$ new student unlimited month special and found a strength + flow class. As a 47 year old woman I am about the *strength* so I signed up. The class did not disappoint as far as being challenging with many options for all levels. I will be sore tomorrow! What I MOST appreciated and what I felt brought 'yoga' into the class was the way the teacher, Lauren reminded us to honor our bodies- to be where we were in that moment. She gave permission to allow and thus really feel and be in my body- in the most authentic way. As someone who spends a lot of time in fitness and is sometimes guilty of beating herself while in a damn yoga class Ms.Bielenberg's gentle reminders brought me back to a kindness and gentleness in my body (even while working quite hard). I will be returning to more of Lauren's classes it's clear she has a deep understanding and a genuine passion for teaching. As a native to Portland, I've tried out many of the local yoga studios and Namaste on Williams is definitely one of my favorites. The space is clean and serene- thoughtfully designed and invokes a sense of calm and lightness at first step through the door. Great variety of class and schedule offerings. I love that their classes strike the right balance of challenge and relaxation, always with a thoughtful message and a strong focus on the breath. What I've come to appreciate most at NOW is the warm and welcoming community. Having been a member for several months now, the instructors have made a point to get to know me and always ask how I'm doing. They often host events to support local causes, artists, and other small businesses. It's such a supportive group of people and I'm thankful to be a part of it. read more

This studio is gorgeous and has some of the best teachers I've found in Portland. I've toured several studios downtown, in the Pearl, and NW, but this studio by far out performs the others on the North side and offers a wide range of classes at convenient times. The amazing decor (paper lantern goodness!) and cleanliness of the studio enhances the yoga experience of each class. I particularly like the balance between a traditional yoga approach as well as options to take HIIT style classes. Literally something for everyone. Has early morning and late evening classes for traditional work schedules. Classes are not packed. Front desk is always friendly. PARKING IN THE PARKING GARAGE ROCKS! I have tried 3-4 other studios that are closer to where I live but still choose Namaste over those studios because it's flat out better and worth the money (same or less prices for better experiences). I had tried yoga before but had never really gotten into it. I went in to NOW yoga for the first time this past summer and found an inclusive, supportive community with amazing teachers. The studio on Williams is beautiful and their pricing is super fair compared to other places. I was struggling with anxiety and depression and going into NOW helped me a lot. Augusta made a list on my first day with classes for someone who was starting out and that was super helpful. I tried most of their classes and the teachers were all great, and offered a variety of options of level/intensity (from more chill/relaxins classes like yin and flow and restore to more workout type ones). I'm sad I moved to Eugene and can't go there anymore but highly recommend it (I especially loved Colin's classes, great if you are starting out) read more

I was visiting Portland and wanted to take a class close to where I was staying. I did a quick Google search and found Namaste. The studio is beautiful and the staff and everyone in the class was super welcoming. I took a Vinyasa Flow class with Katie and she was a great instructor that taught a super challenging class. NOW Yoga - Yoga Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Great new yoga studio in this chic NE hood that I want to live in. The studio is located in the peloton building and is just the right size, chicly designed with calming neutral decor and lighting. Everything is clean and neat with all the props and towels. Matt rental is $2. The studio offers a new student special that is worth it to try out the different classes and teachers. I love that the studio is not heated. It's a little warm to help you get limber, but it's not hot. I just can't deal with the level of heat that Portland yoga studios crank up. I have no doubt this studio is going to be a huge success. Locale is great and the owner spent time to decorate and design appropriately. I might add that having a dog at the studio is an added bonus for me as I love dogs. A few thing I would like to see, power vinyasa that is truly power vinyasa. I think the power vinyasa classes just don't differ from regular vinyasa. I would like to see a more athletic practice in the sense that arm balances and inversions are at least part of the practice and if not, that they are offered as an option. For me, the power in power vinyasa means an arm balance or inversion. Portland just doesn't seem to do this. I know I am but one person but this has been a disappointment to me in general in Portland. I will add that I had a one on one class when no one else showed up and it was fantastic. Also Jill knouse is a well known Portland yogi and now teaches here. Her class is amazing. Really special and she's a great instructor. I do plan to continue at this studio. I like the vibe and with a few little adjustments, it will be perfect. read more

I absolutely love this place. Tucked away near some of my favorite shops, Namaste on Williams was soooooo much fun! I did the fitlife Portland pop up and the venue was beautiful. I love the space and the ambiance of this place. The room was great, staff was friendly and I just love how it smelled it there, earthy, fresh, and t was so bright in the lobby. I definitely will be. I have been coming to NOW for two wonderful years. This is a great community, in a great space. I have tried nearly all of the classes ( and many workshops), and I find every experience to be valuable. The instructors are totally engaged, and fun people to practice yoga with. I have been going here since they opened about a year ago. I really like this place, I like that most of the classes are a little over an hour, most places I have gone in the past just have hour classes. I feel like they have helped me improved my practice. With help from Melissa I have stated to learn to do head stands, which always seemed like something I didn't feel comfortable with . Everyone is so nice! This is an amazing studio filled with the most wonderful teachers. I have been to 5 different studios over the past 7 months in the PDX area and this is it! You are met with a warm feeling as soon as you walk through the door. Every class is in tune with the energy of the students and makes each class unique. The teachers are very attentive but also let you flow. Check out Jill's or Jessie's class! Very tasteful music during the class helps you stay present but also swing your hips. The décor is simple and provides a peaceful environment to meditate and practice yoga. Enjoy! read more

I signed up for one class and as soon as that was done I joined the one month unlimited for $40. I have taken classes from 6 different instructors in the past month and have loved them all. I needed to get back to a regular practice and it feels so good. The space is clean, there is a great varied class offering and signing up on line is easy. I'm not much of a yoga practitioner so wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I went with a friend to Namaste on Williams. I loved it. The studio is in a great location, super welcoming, open, light, really nicely decorated, and has high-quality, new equipment in the studio. We did a candlelight restorative class and I really liked it, came out feeling calm and well-stretched. And as a non-flexible, tall person I really appreciated the subtle addition of an extra block or two by my side on certain positions! I'll be back. read more
