In all fairness, their posts on another site warned we might have to take an alternate route, but my friend and I still managed to drive in circles a bit before finally finding the huge sign out front! But, that's ok-Trenton is a cute little town so we enjoyed the unintentional exploring. We expected the store footprint to be a little larger, but there were still plenty of things to look at and choose from. Metalwork dominates. There was a flock of hot pink metal flamingos, huge multi-colored roosters and bright red cardinals on wire hangers and metal stakes. There were enormous sunflowers, wind chimes and rock sculptures. And lots more. The back room had some vintage items including a couple of ladders that would be great for hanging quilts. According to the very nice gentleman behind the counter, they are usually open spring - Christmas and the stock changes as they sell out and replace with new merchandise. Around the holidays it becomes a big gift shop. If you are in the area, it is worth a stop. My advice would be to pair it with lunch and a visit to some of the shops along W. Jefferson downtown and make a day of it. You won't get dirty at The Dirty Hoe, but neither will you have to work hard to have a good time. Overalls not required.

Each time we stop in a couple times per month always find exciting deals. We follow the posts on store Facebook site for weekly hot new items, , yes I scored a pair of Bose speakers a few months ago on the super cheap. She was nice and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told her tops and jeans. She pointed them out for me and selected some jeans for me to try and even put them into the dressing room. I told her I wear skinny jeans. She put about 6-7 jeans in the room and they were so many ugly colors and ugly washes I would never wear and there wasn't one pair of skinny jeans in the group. It's very organized after knowing it's a consignment store. The section when you first walk in is for the early birthday parties and all handmade by local artists. The search continues for me and some acceptable maternity wear. I didn't find one shirt, top, dress or jean worth even trying on at all. Too bad there weren't many pics of the kinds of clothes on the web. I might have not even made the drive from Dearborn during my lunch break had I known it was a resale shop.
