The positives: dog friendly, location, onsite parking and wifi.
The negatives: VERY OLD, small rooms with too much furniture and outdated bathrooms. Also, one rude front desk person that may have been the manager as he is the only one in a blue suit.
Our check-in experience with the blonde gal was great! We had arrived after midnight due to this being a last minute stay, so it wasn't our "normal" place to stay but it checked all the boxes we needed. The bed wasn't terrible but the space was small and carpeted for a pet room. It was noisy as others had said but not because of the club downstairs - it sounded like they might have been fixing a room nextdoor. At 8am we heard the sound of a power drill or power drive going off every other minute. It bothered me more than the dogs.
The 2nd morning we were about to leave to our car to explore for the day and a man at the front desk, wearing a blue suit, asked us if we were checking out. We did jot have any bags with us, and did not appear to be so we were confused. He asked us what room we were in and he told us, yes you are checking out. We said, "No, we are not. We are here for 2nights." He began to argue with us and told us that yes we were and that we were wrong. Ha! You're telling the customer that has a clear "2-night" reservation confirmation, that we're wrong and that we should check out. He wasvery rude and insistent. I showed him my phone and he asked me to send it to him. As soon as I was going to click send, he found his mistake and found our reservation. He td us we could go now. He did not even apologize.
We really did not need to stay a 2nd night, and had thought about leaving but the 3rd front desk agent made us feel better about staying. He was smiley, loved our dogs and had biscuits for them.
The hotel seems great for kids. They have two fooseball tables and a play space for kids in the lobby. A little boy enjoyed meeting our dogs and were very friendly. The green space they have for walking the dogs and proximity to walking into old town plus parking is really the only reason we would come back. Hopefully they renovate because it is a shame if they don't because they do have everything we need at an Ok price. read more
