I never got around to writing my review of this charming hotel we visited in November, when we traveled to Gdansk to see the town from which my great grandfather emigrated. (Back then it was Danzig)
I have the day off today, so here comes the most delayed review I have ever posted in my history of Yelping.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Radisson Blu! The hotel was a manageable size, and the staff working the front desk were warm and friendly. The location is top notch, with the main entrance just barely off the main drag in Gdansk. In fact the restaurant in the hotel has windows on the main street.
Being Radisson Rewards Gold members, we were upgraded to a suite, and sweet it was! It had a separate sitting/tv area with leather couches and chairs, a large bathroom with a separate toilet area, and a separate bedroom with windows that opened for fresh air. I travel often for work and something as simple as windows that actually open is a big thing for me!
The breakfast was delicious with many options from which to choose. The hostess was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time there. They had a small bar to the side of the lobby, and more than once we had to search for someone to serve us a "zimne piwo". But that wasn't such a big deal.
To sum it all up, we loved this place and will hopefully return on our next trip to Poland. read more
