I've used them in the past and been very satisfied. But this time they came and did the repair…read morewithout letting me know the cost until after the job was done. They are courteous, on-time, and knowledgable, but as a customer I should be given the opportunity to decline (and just pay for the service call) if I felt the repair cost was too high. I'm not saying don't use them, as I think they are still a good option, but be sure to get a price before the work is done so you can make that call yourself. Otherwise, their $75 visit/diagnostic fee is very reasonable nowadays. **Edited review since the owner, Tony, felt like commenting! That's about right, but funnily enough, when I google it my AI says it's more like $150-$280, parts and labor. Although one result DID come back $350, so perhaps you are just at the more pricey end of the spectrum? Regardless, you should probably give customers the ability to CHOOSE, once it's diagnosed, if they want you to do it at a quoted price, or if they want to buy that inexpensive part and do it themselves. In fact, I think that's actually the law..

Absolutely five-stars for TJ Appliance Repair, especially for Nick, who came to my home on three…read moreoccasions to repair two appliances. My oven had already been worked on twice within the first year warranty, but the company that Home Depot sent was unable to fix the problem after two attempts, even though the oven was new at the time. Nick, on the other hand, diagnosed the problem and fixed it successfully on his first attempt. His work was very efficient and he could not have been more professional, courteous, or pleasant throughout the entire process. The second appliance was my washing machine, which presented a little more of a challenge because the necessary part was difficult to find, but Nick was able to locate the correct part and complete the repair really quickly. The three visits to work on both appliances included the initial evaluations, identifying and obtaining the correct parts, and completing repairs to both appliances. Considering the amount of time Nick spent working, and the fact that three separate visits were required, I found the prices to be extremely reasonable. By today's standards it's worth repeating....the prices were extremely reasonable ! I highly recommend TJ Appliance Repair, and if you have the opportunity, I would recommend asking for Nick. He had a snake with a bristle brush and cleared out the duct from both sides. Ray ran multiple cycles and diagnosed a faulty ignition- sometimes on/off. After it was all done, he cleaned up and attached my door back in place. He was patient and thorough, we ran a small load if wet laundry while resetting everything and cleaning. Once he confirmed it all worked reliably, he was done. I appreciate his thoroughness and great attitude through a long afternoon.

I had a balancing issue with my dishwasher that was likely due to a poor installation, but which…read morehad evolved into an issue that was causing a leak. I called a few places but chose Prime Repair because they quoted me a reasonable fee on the phone, excluding parts. Other places I called wouldn't even offer me a ballpark quote. I appreciated that up front honesty on the phone, and the repair technician John who showed up was a good reflection of that honesty. He came to fix the problem, honestly. He re-balanced the dishwasher to fix the leak, charged me the rate that was quoted over the phone, and also went the extra mile to thoroughly assess the root of the problem -- the poor installation. Unfortunately, the people who had renovated the kitchen before I had purchased the house installed a cabinet without proper materials to allow a dishwasher to be properly attached, so the dishwasher -- which was supposed to be attached on both sides, was loosely attached only on one and was basically free-standing in the cabinet. I can't thank John enough for the effort he put in -- pulling the dishwasher out more than once to not only assess the situation but to install it as best as possible given the circumstances. He also suggested a solution to this problem -- using a specialized bracket to attach the back of the dishwasher to the floor -- which is what I plan to do in the near future. And I will be calling Prime Repair to get that job done.
