My Experience With This Practice…read more Dr. Amir was the surgeon who performed my wisdom tooth procedure. I had all four of my wisdom teeth scheduled to be removed at this practice. I paid for all four extractions, and my insurance was also billed for all four. I also paid the required copay for each tooth. I underwent general anesthesia and went through the recovery and pain believing that all four teeth had been removed. After the procedure, I was told by Dr. Amir and the staff that the procedure had been completed. At my follow-up appointment, I was again led to believe that everything had been taken care of. Later, I visited my general dentist, who took X-rays and informed me that one of my wisdom teeth was still present and had not been removed. I returned to the practice and brought this to Dr. Amir's attention. He apologized and asked me to contact the staff regarding a resolution. After contacting the staff, I was reimbursed only the $136 copay associated with the tooth that had not been removed. What makes this even more frustrating is that because of this mishap, I now have to go through another extraction and another round of recovery, pain, and inconvenience--something I should not have had to go through if the procedure had been completed correctly the first time. My concern is that I was charged for a procedure that was not fully performed, my insurance was billed for all four teeth, and I was not informed that one tooth remained until my general dentist discovered it through X-rays. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled, particularly because I underwent general anesthesia and the risks and recovery associated with the procedure based on the understanding that all four teeth were being removed

So, they do updated xrays and we move forward with the consultation and I schedule an appt to get my sons wisdom teeth removed. The appointment was scheduled more than 30 days out... the evening before the appointment on June 6, 2025, I received a call saying the insurance was still not confirmed and unless i wanted to pay out of pocket, they would have to reschedule the appointment. I asked them to call me back to schedule once they verify insurance. This place NEVER called back. What I have received, 2 billings for $10.93 with no indication why i was billed. I get it it's $10.93, it least its not $110.93. I paid this a month ago because I realize this place is not good and I just want them to go away. Today, August 1, 2025, I received the same billing for $10.93. I called at 330pm on a Friday and the office is closed, but the office hours are listed to be open til 430pm. The point in all this is, don't waste your time with this practice, find a better place for you or your family member to be put under and have someone cutting into your mouths.

I eventually decided to join my husband at Khan's practice because it's much closer to our new home. My husband had told me that he was nice to him, which I found not to be the case with me. When I first went to Khan's practice, it was obvious that he was not nice. He always spoke down to me though he was clearly very nice to my white husband. I'm a South Asian just like Mr. Khan. I felt like he was the type of person who talked down to women of his own color. I was always polite and cooperative, though I'm not a wallflower and was not afraid to speak. I felt as though it was not the expectation. Over time, I was unhappy not only with his snobby, attitude but also became with the quality of care. Some of my cleanings felt below average, and Dr. Khan once suggested veneers for very minor wear on my front teeth, even though no other dentist had ever suggested that and my teeth are healthy and well-aligned. It felt unnecessary. I had already started searching for another dentist in the area. The final issue involved a crown that was bothering me. I mistakenly thought Dr. Khan had worked on that tooth, but later learned my last dentist had handled it. My last dentist kindly fixed the issue at no cost, no questions asked without making me feel uncomfortable. At my next cleaning with Mr. Khan, he seemed upset about the confusion. He was visibly annoyed and spoke more arrogantly than usual. When I tried to explain, he loudly interrupted me and said, "YES, YOU WERE WRONG!" I found that extremely arrogant, unprofessional and inappropriate. I had already decided to stop going to his practice before the incident, but needed to get my retainers redone before I stop going because Mr.Khan already had the mold to my teeth. So, I called to have my retainers remade because the previous ones he made were broken, and I was told Mr. Khan did not want me to return to the practice. I was shocked that a simple misunderstanding about a crown would result in being banned as a patient! No professional should be this sore about something this small. My husband and I were purely going to Mr. Khan's practice because it's so close to home. I'm surprised but all the good reviews here on Google, which makes me wonder if him and his team do everything in their power to get rind of negative reviews. I've now had multiple treatments here and really appreciate the time Dr Khan takes to thoroughly assess each tooth to provide the right treatment plan. The facility is great and very well run. There are tvs in each room, modern equipment such as 3d handheld teeth scanners for more precise /comfortable imaging (I've ordered 2 night guards that fit great the first time they were made vs other offices where they've had to be redone, and the tooth images for fillings/crowns have been high quality showing the problem from multiple clear angles), and all of the office staff wear ear radios to communicate and get the patients in and out quickly. Unlike other offices that sometimes are eager to perform any procedure if there is a hint of problem, Dr Khan truly seems to look out for the patients interest and will choose to monitor teeth if there isn't an urgent need to work on them or suggest less invasive treatments (ie filling Vs crown) in attempts to minimize tooth surface loss.

I was nervous at first about the needle insertion, but the nurses Sidney and Sidra held my hand which helped calmed me. However, because of continuing problems with their billing department -- and in particular the failure of the billing department to respond to my repeated messages disputing a charge -- I have today given notice that I will be terminating my patient relationship with this practice. She escorted us to a separate room and came in with the estimate to let us know how much it would cost to have my daughter's 4 wisdom teeth removed. Their quote was over $6,000!!! When I shared with her that my older daughter had her wisdom teeth out about a year ago and it cost a little over $2000 she was quick with a snarky response about "everyone's mouth is different". She then told me that we had overdrawn on our dental insurance and that our insurance would not cover ANY of it. I told her that this was baffling to me because my whole family hadn't had any dental work done this year and we had only had our routine cleanings. She didn't listen to me for a minute instead she just kept repeating that we had exceeded our allowance. She was quick to offer me a payment plan.... no thanks!
