We walked in and assistant manager John warmly greeted us and gave directions for making the purchase prior to getting in line. Met some totally awesome people while waiting to meet Morris and Malcolm who were in an area at the back of the store. It was a hoot to have other customers ask WHY there were so many people in the store! After having our picture taken we received the signed bottle and John bagged them for us. I bought a product from this business a few days ago and it turned out to be a lemon. It was a…read morecheap e-cig so I wasn't expecting much but it didn't even come close to any reasonable expectation of usage even factoring in the price. At the time I made the purchase the woman working behind the counter refused to give me a receipt when I asked for one and claimed that she didn't know how to do so because she had already closed the sale. She told me to come back if I had any problems and they'd make things right. I went back earlier today and saw a sign on the door saying 'be back in 6 minutes'. 20 minutes later I saw someone in the store and he reluctantly opened the door even though closing time wasn't for another 35 minutes. The employee told me that the business would not honor their agreement because the product in question had to be returned to the manufacturer. I asked him how I could deal with the manufacturer without proof of purchase and his response was to assure me that they would, even though I had no receipt, and the entire time he was trying to close the door even though the store was still supposed to be open. The employee would not refund my money but did finally agree to do an exchange even though I made it clear that I no longer wanted this product. I still failed to procure a receipt because I didn't remember the exact date and time I made the purchase so no receipt for me even though he could have easily made one for me then or even just hand-written something, anything, to show that I purchased this product from that store. In other words, all problems were my fault because I didn't have a receipt even though it was the business who refused to provide me with a receipt at the time of purchase. Lesson learned, I'll never again go to Rob's Tobacco, in Novi nor anywhere else.
