I loved that it was wading depth water the whole way around. Plenty of room to walk and swim around. honestly great for all ages. They have a good amount of seating. Life guards are on duty. I loved how they did a routine child/parent check as well. The facilities were REALLY clean and the water was perfect. They have concessions for food and soft drinks. We will be back for sure!

The Great Lawn is where Atlantic Ave meets North Pompano Beach Boulevard. There is pay parking…read morealong the sidewalk and in a lot across the street. Pompano Beach has put a lot of money and thought into the area they call the Great Lawn. It has a splash pad for the kids and an outdoor shower. If you get hungry you can grab food at Sandbar Snacks. There is even public art projects, the Pirates Treasure Chest and a painted Pompano fish called Yellow Polka Dots. Right behind the lawn is access to the beach. The city of Pompano stages events here like Music Under the Stars and Movies on the Lawn. With beautiful views and plenty of room to relax and hang out, this is a popular gathering place for the beach crowd. I really like what Pompano has been doing to improve the beach area. There is a new parking garage so there is always a spot to park, great new restaurants, outdoor exercise equipment, and a fun playground for the kids. The Great Lawn fits in perfectly with the improved beach area. I can't wait for the last piece to be completed, the new Pompano Beach Pier. I am eagerly awaiting it's opening. I used to come to this beach because it was close to where I live. Now I come because of the great amenities. Well done Pompano.

After all, it is the start of summer in South Florida. I tried this park. It's well maintained and has fields for sports including tennis, baseball, and basketball. Plus there is sort of a path that goes around the park (if you include the regular sidewalk on one side). There are a lot of nice trees, but I would say there is about 50% shade coverage. So for me that may not be enough. But for others who want to use the facilities and don't mind the heat, it could be nice.

This park was named for Pompano pioneer Robert aka Bob McNab who came south after the frost of 1899…read morein Central Florida with his brother Harry. Harry was a city councilman and banker who opened the first movie theater and ran the post office and grocery store while brother Bob spearheaded the city's agriculture and commercial development. The brothers made their fortune in farming which enabled them to own most of old Pompano. They were the first people to own an automobile and have electric lights. I stopped by because I noticed the beautiful large Christmas tree that the city had set up in the park. They also added decorations that light up at night. While it was beautiful display I felt uncomfortable because they were at least 20 homeless people in the small area of the park. At least one was smoking pot right next to a toddler. As I was leaving I ran into a security guard who told me the homeless could be there and it seems like they have made it their gathering spot. It's sad that the homeless of Pompano can't get better services to help them off the street. The city could have saved the money of the decorations and put it towards that. The really ironic thing is the park is directly behind the Pompano Beach visitors center. I don't think this is the welcoming look of Pompano that they wish to convey to tourists. Although I can't recommend a visit the park it also has a clubhouse, tennis and racquetball courts, basketball court, and a children's playgrounds but honestly take your kids somewhere else.

Hounce houses, photo opportunities, pumpkin patch, pig races, hayrides and more! The kids and us had a blast. With the overwhelming amount of people that came, it never felt so crowded that you could not participate in what you wanted. Some lines, but not always. It was pretty well organized too. Props to the staff on that! The day was beautiful,and we got through everything we wanted to in the 3 hours we were there!

It was around thirty dollars and you had the option of buying 3D glasses for $6, ouch a little overpriced for paper glasses. I did buy them lol. What the glasses did was that it added a figure to the lights. My glasses had snowman and if I moved they moved with me. It was cool. The snowman were everywhere. My son got candy cane. It was the same experience. The staff seemed to be enjoying themselves. Some really got into the holiday spirit. Everyone was very cheerful here. It was a happy atmosphere. I was glad I came.

There are many pavilions each with a water fountain, a restroom building, a kids playground, a sand volleyball court, concrete corn hole game, and 2 concrete pads for pavilions that were never built. There is plenty of parking . This park is easily accessible by walking from a rental community and a gated housing community. I took my miniature dachshund for some exercise. He loved the park. The only negative is how small it is. You can only make so many loops and walk up and back the long, completely shaded entrance road.
