Each week I meet with my coach to review the food I ate, which I recorded in my food journal, get measured, and do a BCA. In these personalized meetings my coach reviews my food journal and BCA results to ensure I am sticking to the protocol so that I may get optimal results. For example, my coach will review my food journal and let me know if I need to change my eating times, tweak my veggie or eat a less fattening protein for dinner. They also review the BCA to ensure I am gaining lean muscle mass and reducing body fat. Trust me if you cheat it will show in the BCA. I have worked with all the coaches and the owner and noticed they are all knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. How naïve of me. When I got there, they insisted this was not Keto, I asked for some food samples, they would not provide any and assured me the food was delicious (all the food is in the form of powder). I figured I'm not picky about food, I can eat just about anything, I'll sign up. The contract is either $3,000 or $5,000. If not satisfied you have one week to cancel, but they will retain $750. The ladies were friendly, and they gave me my weekly food, and I left with high hopes. On day two I was miserable with the "Keto flu" bad headache, fatigued, nauseous, and weak. I was told this was not Keto, this is Keto! Plus, the food was really bad, especially the artificially sweet stuff like the shakes, protein bars, and pancake mix. it has a nauseating chalky sweetness to it (my growing teenager who eats anything couldn't eat either). With Keto you can have bacon, eggs, avocado, and butter, yummy real food. With EMP 180 you have to eat their food plus your own veggies and lean meats. I canceled on day two. The first consultation of $30 was already paid, so I basically paid $750 for one week of powder food that I won't eat. This was a very expensive mistake. We are better off with a program that offers counseling plus real foods.

I was indeed refused cancellation of my request. I went into the office during, I believe the 1st week of July (definitely before July 4th) and showed the receptionist my acceptance letter to work in California. She showed this to the manager and the manager said that I needed more than that (even though it said I would be moving across country since there was a moving stipend involved). I then requested to freeze my account until I could get the paperwork and that was most certainly refused and THAT is what frustrated me the most that I didn't have any wiggle room to work with since I was also trying to get my things together, get my place together and since all the companies I did work with either let me cancel quickly OR freeze my account until I got everything together. Now, I got my paperwork together and faxed it over July 25th. I got a line error, so I called the office asking for a call back to get my fax inline (and at no time I was offered to email, which would have made things simpler). I got no call back and was able to successfully fax on July 29th. I got a confirmation from the office saying the fax has been received and that I will get a response in 2 weeks. 2.5 weeks later, I had to follow up to see the status. No status from corporate (I was told it was needed to be reviewed by corporate). Then, on August 15th I got another request to resend paperwork because it had gotten 'lost'. I resent it, this time via email and received a request for more money because of the payment plan. Look, I don't mind having to pay what is owed for services. What I do mind is that there was no sympathy, empathy or attempt to make this an easy cancellation...which gives me the impression that all the company cared about was money. If that initial meeting where I was trying to cancel had some sort of EFFORT to help me (Let me talk to corporate, let me talk to Dr. Susan, let me check if we can do anything) I would have been pleased. EVEN if I was told that my chart needed to be reviewed or my contract needed to be reviewed on top of getting address paperwork, that would've been fine too. [I was just told "it needs to be approved by corporate. Sorry." no explanation, no nothing like the owner left on my comment] I still received a bill for October. However, I need to review my contract to make sure that what is owed is owed appropriately before I pay the funds. Then I will pay whatever needs to be paid for services rendered (although, I still think I should be reimbursed for July since I never got to use the option to use services in July since I was driving to California by July 5th but I don't expect this company to care about that fact). When the…read moreresults of my most recent physical showed that I had better do something about my gut issues, food reactions, high cholesterol and weight gain (30+pounds since menopause hit), I decided to seriously look into the program, costs and the stated and actual results clients experienced. My weight, fatigue, bloating, tummy troubles, nearly constant heartburn (even after a surgery to correct it), body aches and consistent hot flashes (despite being done with menopause for over 13 years) didn't match the way I ate (not perfect but by most standards, healthy) and how much exercise I did daily. I started on February 26, 2024 and as of today, I have lost 32+ pounds.
