Here's why:…read more- it's clean, modern - on time, didn't have to wait long - the dentist (dr. deVries) communicates clearly and explains what he's doing while fixing things in your mouth. It's very reassuring and good to know! - everyone there is really nice - dental hygienist Alan is great - they're open late! I was pleasantly surprise to find out that they have appointments late up to 8pm I think. - they call to remind you before the appointment - easy central location at the top of Vondelpark by the ClubMed office. - cool photos on the wall :) I've gone here about 3 times now and it's been a consistently good experience.

Absolutely terrible experience - avoid at all costs…read more I've never left a negative review before, but after three separate visits to Lassus Tandartsen, I feel compelled to share my experience. Each visit was worse than the last, and I truly regret ever stepping foot in this place - despite its beautiful design. On my first visit, the dentist told me I urgently needed a cleaning, even though I had one done at the same clinic just two months earlier. When I later checked with the hygienist who had performed that cleaning, she confirmed it wasn't necessary at all. Then came the extraction of my wisdom teeth by a surgeon who was incredibly rough during the procedure. The result? Four weeks of recovery due to nerve damage - something that should have been handled with much more care and precision. And finally, during what will forever be my last appointment there, the hygienist who administered anesthesia managed to irritate my mandibular nerve, causing me more pain and stress than I could've imagined. If you're wondering why I even went back after the first time, the answer is simple: each time I was treated by a different doctor, so I thought the experience might improve. On top of that, I had already paid €200 for the first consultation, during which they took all my information (and threw in some unsolicited, inaccurate comments like the cleaning recommendation). I didn't want to pay that fee all over again somewhere else -- but now I gladly will, because I'm never going back. I'm sure there are competent professionals working at Lassus, but I certainly didn't encounter any. What I did experience was a shocking lack of attention, skill, and care from three different practitioners. I strongly urge anyone considering this clinic to think twice. Your health deserves better.

They have several locations spread around the city of Amsterdam. My favorite one is the one on Keizersgracht and Lassusstratt. I only have one issue with them, which is they once gave me a student who was not under proper supervision, so the expereince was painful, so therefore in the future I will never agree to another student working on my teeth. Also, they are one of the top dental clinic in Amsterdam despite the student experience. I have overall had a positive experience with them.

I came here two years ago and later decided to find another dentist, because I was not really feeling the service. Something seam kind of off to me about this dentist. Plus I was not really believing that the dentist was from New York, because his English was far from fluent to me, and his prices were not so accurate as Dutch protocol, but maybe that was just my personal experience. However, if you don't have another option, then go for it, but i would look a little bit further first. I guess on the bright side they take appointments in the evening and Saturdays, if your mornings or afternoons are not possible. Happy I toke another route, because my new dentist is so on point.

They are also sensitive to how expensive x-rays are and don't order them unnecessarily. They have even spaced them out for me (one set this visit, the other next time) so I don't end up having to eat rice and beans for a month because I spent all my money at the dentist. They bill my insurance company so it's simple and easy. They send appointment reminders via email and text. They are open after 5pm for those of us who work. In short, I am really happy here and hope anyone looking for a dentist will consider them.
