I've had a very difficult pain management journey with chronic back pain that felt impossible to…read moretreat. Many providers dismissed me when medications and procedures didn't work, but Dr. Taub never did. He was steady, constant, and kind. He didn't act like he was doing me a favor or that I was "too much." He simply listened, treated me with patience, and supported me through some of the hardest times. If you are struggling with unmanageable pain, feeling depressed, or losing hope because nothing is helping, I cannot recommend Dr. [Name] enough. He has been a true source of comfort and care.

Led by Neal Taub, MD, a board-certified physician, Charlotte Ketamine Center provides customized ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant diseases.  Mental health and chronic pain conditions are notoriously challenging to treat as every patient responds differently to medications and other therapies. Additionally, many conventional treatments, like antidepressants, cause intolerable side effects. At Charlotte Ketamine Center, Dr. Taub and his team are dedicated to helping patients overcome their health issues to lead active and fulfilling lives with more than just medication. Charlotte Ketamine Center focuses on providing evidence-based, breakthrough treatments for mood disorders and chronic pain. All treatments are offered in a comfortable and professional outpatient center under close supervision. Dr. Taub focuses on operating with efficiency and expertise, keeping their overhead down, and passing on the affordability to patients.  Most insurance plans don't currently cover ketamine treatments. However, Charlotte Ketamine Center offers a variety of treatments at different price points as well as packages. Appointments are available by calling the practice or booking online.

My experience with Southeast Pain and Spine was very negative. See below -…read more 1. I had a double lumbar fusion in 2017. I've been in pain management for four years as I suffer from significant lower back pain and nerve pain in my legs on a daily basis 2. I saw Kevin Costello for first time last week. He said only treatment he could offer me is a Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery and was not receptive to any other treatments. This was disappointing as there are other modalities out there to treat lower back pain that are less costly and less invasive. Also, my insurance will not cover a Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery until other treatment options have been exhausted. 3. In summary, I felt Kevin Costello and his staff dismissed me as I am young (35 years old) and failed to offer fundamental pain management services. I could not have been more insulted and will never recommend this guy or Southeast Pain and Spine to anyone suffering from chronic pain.

That's incredible. I would never take it down now. You have no business being in pain management if you're going to treat people that have very hard lives like this. Shameful

It didn't give that doctor office feel it felt like you were a criminal. However years later seeing dr.A, I couldn't be more thankful for a doctor who listens, works to find a solution, and cares for his patients. My issues will never get better they will get worse as I age. I'm almost 40 but still want to live and because of Dr.A, I can do that with tolerable pain. I dread the day I ever have to find someone else. That is my biggest fear. THANK YOU for being awesome I appreciate you!

When I seeing him regularly and not just because of his PA couldn't see me he immediately started acting like I was a lier. He told me to tell him what hurt when he touched me. When I started responding he got mad at me and snapped that he only wanted to know if it was unbearably painful not just uncomfortable. I still told him all the places that hurt but when I tried to explain the variances in pain he said he just wanted a yes or no not my feelings. The whole thing was degrading and demoralizing. He got worse as time went on. I could only talk about one aspect of my pain. He would always cut me off. He cut my medication by 2/3rds and refused to give me anything for withdrawal. I was assaulted and asked for a female doctor or a referral to somewhere with a female doctor. He said he had a female doctor. I saw her once and she told me she was only helping out for a few weeks. He completely lied there was no female doctor. I was scheduled back with him. I asked for a referral and he refused to give it to me. Since starting there he's gone through at least three dozen nurses and office staff and close to a dozen PAs. All he cares about is money. His office manager routinely gives out medical advices even though she has no medical training. They will tell you if something doesn't work to call and they'll change it. They never do. The office staff never gives messages to the PAs. It's just an awful toxic environment.

She reported back to Dr. Costello that I was addicted to Immitrex after which he would no longer see me as a patient. Mayo clinic later determined my surgery never fused, several of my screws had broken, and I had a retropulsed vertbrae fracture impinging on my spinal cord. Excellent surgeon who took good care of my wife and her knee…read more We first started going to this practice back around 2004 when Dr. Barron's partner, David Holmsley did a knee replacement me. Last year, he did a hip replacement and we were very pleased with the care and outcome from both procedures. This is a practice with three doctors. Dr. Barron specializes on Arthroscopic Surgery of the knees, Dr. Holmsley specializes on joint replacement and Dr. Valentine specializes on the Hands. Back before Christmas, my wife hyper extended her knee and was in a great deal of pain. We met with Dr. Holmsley and he ordered an MRI and referred us to his associate Dr. Barron because this was the area he specialized in. MRI was done before Christmas and while she could have gotten in to see Dr. Barron on the day after Christmas, she was flying to Pittsburgh at that time and the next available appointment was around Jan 8th. We met with Dr. Barron and he had reviewed the MRI and the conclusion was that she had three tears in the medial meniscus plus some arthritis in the joint as well. He gave her the option of arthroscopic surgery or doing nothing in the long shot that it would heal on it's own which was unlikely. Needless to say, we chose the obvious surgery. He wanted to do it the following week but a bed was not available at the Surgery Center till the 20th. 20th came and we were first and were there at 6 am, Surgery was at 7 am but they did take her a few minutes early. By 9:30, we were checking out and heading back to Cornelius. Since then progress has been very quick and we are very pleased with the outcome. The following Monday she started Physical Therapy and is recovering strength in the knee quickly. We went back yesterday and they took the stitches out and showed my wife the pictures they had taken of the damaged tissue. She still has some swelling and bruising from the surgery but that is improving daily. Next appointment is in just over a month just prior to our trip to Israel. Very professional and great Doctor and glad my wife was in such good hands. Would recommend this practice to anyone.
