Cute little farm stand! We arrived on a Monday around noonish and they didn't have a lot of produce out, but they have some pick yourself areas and people were out picking raspberries. My friend told me that they usually have an assortment of fresh made pies on the shelves and I could see them in the back making them. I need to come back and try them when they're available!! Set outside of the center of town, Nourse Farms is a great spot to purchase some local veggies/pastries/pantry items and to pick some of Nourse Farm's own fruit. We stopped in on the first day of raspberry season and had a fantastic afternoon picking raspberries in between rain showers. I love that they let you bring your own picking containers (save on some of that cardboard) and it was a nice and very "non-commercial" picking experience unlike some of the larger farms in the area. My husband and I were the only two people in the raspberry patch (is that what you call an area where raspberries grow?!), but we didn't feel lonely as the cows offered some frequent vocalizations during our picking. The cows made our day and we spent a few minutes after picking just to watch them! Nourse Farm is a great experience. The fruit was delicious and made some fabulous jam. Not only is the product fantastic, but the people working at the farm are wonderful! I can't wait to go back for blueberry picking! read more

I've been growing raspberries, blackberries, blue berries and strawberries in Massachusetts for over 40 years. Three years' ago, I decided to buy from Nourse. In 2022, the raspberries and blackberries didn't do well. Of ten bought, 8 died. While I watered well, I attributed the loss due to the drought. In 2023, I tried again with another 10 plants. Five were small, but I planted them---four made it. Five were in bad shape from shipping---only short stumps above the plug. Planted them in 1-liter pots and they were ready to plant by July. Four made it. I decided to give Norse one last try this year. Disappointed with very poor packing, again. The five Chester Blackberry plugs were stumps---all stems and leaves broken off. The five Jewel Raspberry plugs were small sticks above the plug, but at least had buds. The two blueberry, 1-lier pots were sticks, no sign of buds. Planted the blueberries into large, 1 gallon pots, and the berries in 1-liter pots and will hope for the best. These are not cheap plants: $7 each for the blackberries and raspberries, $11.55 each for the blueberry plants plus $23.95 for shipping and handling. At those prices, one should expect decent sized plants and proper shipping. I'm done with Nourse. read more

Love it! They have a wonderful variety of fresh veggies and fruits. The Vegi Food Truck is also a MUST try! Beautiful little peaceful farm.

We live close by so bought a CSA share this summer... We are about half way through and could not be more pleased. Everyone at the farm is fantastic, especially the owners. Their jam is AMAZING, their fruits and veggies are incredible... best strawberries I have ever had, swisschard is amazing, string beans fantastic (I could go own, but will spare you).. I am really looking forward to trying their corn and ice cream (not together!). It always feels good to get a high quality product at a great price. In this case, it feels even better because I like supporting local agriculture. We truly look forward to visiting each week to pick up our goods! read more

I bought some Asparagus plants first then some Blueberry plants. The blueberry plants did well. The asparagus plants did not survive the second year. I planted them they did well the first year, 2nd year not as good and this year The 3rd year not one is alive. Not good. The blueberry bushes are doing good. The reason why the negative rating is honesty and the asparagus should have made it. The trust part was I asked if they grow the blueberry bushes in our climate, before I purchased them, the response was yes. Sometime later that year I found out by one of their employees when I was in Whately Ma. they bring them in from the west coast and ship them. read more

Went raspberry picking today and it was great !!! The person working at the stand was super helpful as she gave us sage advice on where to head and what to look for. Prices were also really good. I'd definitely come back if in the area again. read more

Fantastic staff at this location. After trying out a few pick your own places and finding out I would be charged to pick my own and THEN for the cost of the fruit (!), I was thrilled to find this location. The unique history of being a working family farm since 1722 (after the family leaving from Salem when a member was hung for being a witch!) makes it even better. The prices of the produce was much lower than other area locations - and less than the "on sale, non local" produce at the grocery store! The staff was fantastic as far as helping with suggestions and tips: 6 varities of tomatoes, 3 kinds of peppers, etc. If you are in the Marlborough/Hopkinton/Natick area, this is THE place for produce. Local honey, pies, ice cream toppings (yummy chocolate raspberry), farm fresh eggs. I can go on and on, but instead? I'll just go back! read more

Cute small farm, reasonable prices for berries and veggies. One down side POISON IVY! They don't forewarn you that it's everywhere and the grass is so long it's impossible to tell where it is! I couldn't get out if there fast neigh to wash my family in hopes no one gets poison Ivy! read more

I bought a 2013 CSA share from here and strongly regret it. The people and location of the farm are nice, but the product is not. Fruits and vegetables would be moldy, rotting and/or wilted. Most of the greens were wilted constantly, berries ALWAYS had mold in the containers, all the tomatoes (they only grew heirloom) were severely scarred/rotting (which according to some customers was an improvement from the year before because at least they grew tomatoes this year). No matter how I tried to store any of their greens they would go bad within a day. I talked to other people who also had shares and they said they were having the same issues. Generally the products offered were just awful. I would never buy a CSA share here again. There were weeks I didn't even go pick up my share because I couldn't handle seeing flies everywhere and rotting food. Truly Disappointing. I wish I could have gotten a refund. Also, everything is on a point system (you have x amount of points per week and can pick your fruits/veggies based on how many points they cost until you meet your limit for the week). I did like this option but if you're looking to be forced into trying new veggies (not that they had more than your basic ones you probably already eat) you'll have to do that yourself. You're not forced to try new things like if you picked up a pre-packed share. Anyways... the issue I have with the amount you're allowed is each point is worth $1 and you ended up paying the same thing as if you bought the items from their store. If we're investing our money in the farm up front the products should be cheaper for us than the general public. Did I mention the products in the store for sale were better quality than what they gave CSA members? Ugh. This place is awful. read more

Wonderful raspberry picking today! Nice location and endless berry bushes. Friendly and helpful staff, will be visiting again for pumpkins. Good prices. Nourse Farm offers reasonably priced homemade ice cream and homemade slices of pie (available soon). Outdoor seating only. They charge $2.25 for one scoop. Their ice cream comes from a dairy farm in New Hampshire or Vermont and tastes fresh and delicious. They also have a store that offers seasonal vegetables, jams, fruit sauces, whole pies and honey. read more

I love this farm stand. Fresh fruit and veg. Their pies are amazing and the jams and jellys are also delicious. The farm stand is reasonable in price so makes it a lot easer to support my local family owned business. The ice cream/desert window is fabulous in the summer for an late summer evening treat with my kids. read more

We went to pick strawberries. The experience was great and we tasted a few strawberries, which tasted pretty good. The entire experience was good until the very end, when I interacted with someone who appeared to be the owner. I asked him if they used pesticides and he said yes, and I asked him which ones and he rudely responded that he doesn't have to tell me. He told me that if I'm worried I should shop somewhere else. Pesticides are harmful to bees, the environment, and our bodies, and the consumer has a RIGHT to know how the food they are consuming is produced. The strawberries I brought home have pesticides that I do not know about. Some brands of pesticides are particularly harmful to our bodies--my strawberries could have them. His interaction with me was very rude (he didn't even respond when my dad greeted him) and I found out that this farm has no interest in trying to get consumers to know about their food. Knowing everything about their food is the major reason people shop locally, and this farm wants to hide something from the consumers. Will not be shopping here again. read more
