Joe at Earthworks was the first to respond. I had four outfits visit the job site and provide quotes. Joe's quote came in right in the middle of the pack, and he could schedule me the next week. And he very much seemed to be on the same page for what I was trying to accomplish. He and his crew just departed. They showed up on time, and took the time estimated. They were very careful around my landscaping, and did a great job of the tree work. They have completely cleaned up and left my yard in great shape. My front garden now will get the light it needs, and bigger than that, I now have a year round view of the Blue Ridge from my front porch. I'm very happy with their work, and believe I received very good value for the cost. Very highly recommended.

Return customer. Very happy with their work! Here's why:…read more After Hurricane Helene, every property surrounding my house was crushed by trees. We were fortunate that none of the massive oaks and poplars surrounding our house landed on the house, but it left us with a high level of anxiety... Would they fall during the next storm? I met Adam at the park with his dog and kids, and happened to notice the tree company on his shirt. That same day he came to our house and gave us a good overview of the trees that posed risk to our property and which ones he wasn't concerned about. Adam was extremely knowledgable about types of trees, their strength and overall tree health. He gave us a quote that was very reasonable and told us the time frame to get the work done. Everything was outlines in a PDF document, including pictures with the trees marked. All in all, everything was very professional, and I appreciated knowing that we were on the same page. Now after two massive jobs, I can say they did a fantastic job. The team is incredibly skilled at this type of work; they climb the trees, manages to make branches / trunks fall exactly where they want. We couldn't be happier, and would definitely recommend Adam and his team to anybody looking for a job well done! :)

Aftermath of Helene, a large pine tree fell on my roof in Weaverville. I live TN and was grateful…read morefor their response. However, the estimate for removing was $6500 up front, which I gladly paid. I paid $2000 as part of that for a crane, which neighbors said was never used..also paid $500 for removal which meant they only left it at the street at the end of my yard in my small neighborhood cul de sac...they insisted that was routine and FEMA would ultimately remove it. As if FEMA didn't have their hands full already...after 2 months and neighbors telling me the mess was still there I hired another man to remove it which also cost me $500... Have been told since I returned here to have the damage repaired that I was vastly overcharged. I understand it was a busy time, but this is called gouging and I didn't expect it from a local, trusted company.
