But when one of the only lawyers in Plattsburgh, NY is skilled enough at his job to save you several extra trips to a town court Upstate, it's anything but weird. It's incredible. Back story (I'll keep it brief): I got a speeding ticket en route to Montreal and had no idea I was a scofflaw. Makes me sound like some cool guy from a Steve McQueen movie, but it's a total pain in the ass. In a lapse of good followthrough, I had an outstanding ticket from 2012 that had never settled. That resulted in a compound penalty that could have been quite unfortunate. But with the help of Mr. Johnston, I walked away without any serious damage to my wallet or driving record. If you saw the details of my original proposed fate, this was like being rescued by a Fairy Godmother. If I had to identify not so pleasant part of my experience, it'd be his paralegal.
