Now the Pomegranate Festival is nicely shaded with grassy areas and parking is not an issue. One thing I would like to see is vendor booth's going pomegranate crazy, nothing here says this is a pomegranate Festival. I would expect to find a plethora of food item's with pomegranate but nope you won't find that. There is a small car show, the food vendors get better every year (slightly) , the rest of the event is misc. booth's selling or advertising. The event is family friendly and is FREE!

They should not have kids in charge of pointing cars which way to park and they need walkie talkies to communicate with each other. Way too many people in such tight spaces in a lot of areas. The lines were all over the place. So we didn't know which lines were to which ride. We would ask people which lines they were in and they said they don't know or they think it's this ride... I bought the wristbands online and in advance for $40. When we get to the fair, if you buy there it's buy one get one FREE! We thought buying in advance and online would be better but apparently not... so we wasted $40. The good thing was the kids got to enjoy the less busy rides the first hour or so before the crowds came. Food was not great. I was expecting good fair food but when people are cooking in larger batches I guess they don't know how to season or cook it correctly. We will stick with the Big Fresno Fair yearly.

Yes we did get a chance to sit in the air conditioned VIP lounge, but that room was not worth $50. Tons of free garlic at every opening. Hardly any food that was really garlic based or a lot of garlic in it except for the garlic fries and that very odd tasting vanilla garlic ice cream, the chocolate garlic ice cream was good. It didn't really taste the garlic until the end. Would I go back again, probably not. But if I did go back again I definitely would not waste my money paying $50 a ticket for the VIP tickets. I can honestly say the Gilroy garlic festival is (was) way better and has (had) a lot more to offer than the Fresno garlic festival. If I had a choice between Gilroy and Fresno I would rather drive to Gilroy and attend their garlic festival.

I like to go to festivals that specialize in something specific-like Greek culture and food…read more What I don't like is when other vendors come in and sell useless trash or food that doesn't go with the theme. I went to the strawberry festival last year, and there was everything for sale - except for strawberries. For this festival, they did a tremendous job with the theme, seating arrangements and food options. There were plenty of Greek food options to choose from , and the lines went pretty quickly. However, the food fell flat in my opinion. The rice pilaf was bland, the pita bread was not good , and the meats were just OK. I felt the prices weren't out of line, but there was nothing I tried that was better than any other restaurants in the area. The Church was beautiful, and the setup was perfect. I just wish the food tasted better.

We found parking on the street and stood in line momentarily. The festival opened at 11:00am. We stood in line for the Grill, were handed a tray and decided on the foods we wanted. I enjoyed my favorite orange Espa drink and everyone else got water. The festival is cashless like most businesses these days. It was no problem finding a spot for lunch, there were lots of tables set up and we enjoyed the live music playing. We shopped after lunch and stopped by a few of the booths set up as well: Blood Bank, Poverello House, and Health Concepts.

It certainly is beginning to look a lot like christmas and its not even Thanksgiving yet, especially at the old town clovis with its exclusive once a year event known as "One Enchanted Evening" thats completely FREE of charge , this year it was on Nov 19th from 5pm to 8pm. This event feels like walking through the main street of Disneyland without leaking $150 of course Its almost like a best kept secret, since many people in the city of Fresno and Clovis seems unaware that it is an annual tradition that has been running for 12 years, even I was almost unaware of it, but thankfully my friend Dave reminded me. The old town Clovis transforms into a christmas galore with glitzy light luminously lighting its historic streets, christmas song's like mariah carey's 'all I want for christmas playing in the background, smell of hot chocolates in the air, lit horse drawn carriages making its headway down the street, and colorful and shiny christmas decor prominent everywhere, it certainly feels christmasy, warm and fuzzy. There is of course opportunity to visit the adorable antique stores and get the christmas shopping started. And not to forget is the classic collection of old cars from the early 1800 century to the late 1920's all parked on the street and ready for an Instagram moment. One Enchanted Evening is held exclusively by the participating businesses in Old Town Clovis who open their doors for hospitality and good cheer by offering complimentary drinks and mini snacks while we shopped through their amazing antiquities, engulf in their beautifully decorated display window, and walk through the beautifully lit streets of old town clovis lined with lights and christmas decorations . Its also the opportune time to enjoy a complimentary horse-drawn carriage ride through the beautifully decorated streets of Old Town Clovis and a time for me to drag my younger siblings here too, since I heard Santa would be here collecting data on who's naughty and nice. There was even carolers all dressed up in victorian styles clothing singing some christmas tunes. Parking was not much an issue for me, because there were plenty of Free street parking available. I would however advise future patrons to come as early as 5.30 am to enjoy the caroling, which I missed. The time spent here can be varied, but it took me about 30-45 minutes to slowly stroll, visit shops and sip some free hot chocolate and not to forget to bring the best cameras at home, because the sights and window set up is so beautiful and must be captured in photos before its all gone. Its an experience everyone should experience at least once a year !

I was just as confused as you when I heard the Fresno fair was happening in May! But let's just jump right into this. First of all, I am not a huge fan of the Fresno fair that happens in the Fall. It's extremely crowded, so hot and overpriced. The Spring fair is a lot smaller than the BIG Fresno fair but it is held in the same spot. I feel that if given more exposure , this event will grow larger. This is the FIRST year. They have the usual foods like deep fried Oreos, twinkies, giant corn dogs, Bubba's BBQ and etc. don't expect a huge amount of stands for food though!
