Welcoming new and established performers into their space is something this Theatre does really well. I visit every year to see East Norfolk Operatic in their performance and the theatre always feels very welcoming. Covering all the basics of a what is needed in a theatre: The bar- is standard but reasonable value for a small theatre. The toilets- never enough for the ladies in the interval rush but they are clean and looked after The seats- quite confortable but rather old fashioned cinema feel with a teeny rake because of the tradtional layout design inside so if you're small sit near the front. All in all if there was something you wanted to see that came up here go for it!

Although the reain caused one performance to be cut short we did see it twice more - it was superb. And the Iron Man 'puppet' [over 16 feet tall] was amazing.

Both of us absolutely loved it! It took place in the smaller Octagon studio which only has room for about 50 people. All the children sat on the floor on cushions in between two small aisles of chairs reserved for the adults. The puppets were amazing! So beautifully created and with such character. The puppeteer was a brilliant story-teller and performed with the puppets so expertly that they really seemed to come to life. My daughter was totally focussed on the performance as were all the other children there. This is a great place to introduce young children to theatre entertainment.

In the end I called them they recommended I try and book through the website direct not through the app. The website like the app is not user-friendly! Finally booking my tickets I had to proceed to the payment it it went round and round for over five minutes timed out I canceled it. It said I may have been charged for the tickets! I decided I would see if I could book over the phone. They said yes, but I would be charged for a phone call. I said fine and booked over the phone.

A grimy, run down building with a lackluster interior and a floor that your feet will stick to all night long. But don't let that put you off! During the week it is used as a music venue and although you'll never see the likes of Oasis play there, it does attract great up and coming bands. It also offers local bands a chance to showcase their talent with nights organised by local promoters. At the weekends the venue is used as a club that generally caters for the 'alternative' Norwich scene. Friday nights tend to alternate each week between 80's and 90's theme, which may sound cheesy but the DJ's actually play decent music from those decades. It is nothing like your typical Flares or Reflex nightclubs. Every Saturday in the main room downstairs is a club night called Meltdown, which tends to play alternative music catering for the indie/emo/punk/rock/dance genres. Up stairs there are two rooms. One is a small café bar, which is great to as a chill out area as there are plenty of tables and chairs located around. The other room is larger which has a different set of DJ's each week will be a different themed night. Anything from New Electro to Britpop to Heavy Metal or Rap. There's rarely any trouble in The Waterfront and you'll always make a new friend each time you go there. Overall, it's a great night out with a quality friendly atmosphere!
