I would not recommend anyone go to a doctor that cannot submit proper insurance claims and care for their patients properly Good Afternoon Dr. Cygan, I spoke with DentalQuest and Blue Cross Blue Shield regarding my son's referral. I began an appeal because they stated that they did not have enough documentation to approve the referral. Please see the timeline below of what has transpired since our visit in February. Estimated Timeline: We came to your office in February after Noah's dentist at Iroquois Dental stated that he did not have enough room for his wisdom teeth and that the top impacted teeth were coming in at an angle that would not allow for safe eruption. I followed up on the referral 2-3 weeks later and was told BCBS/Dentaquest had not determined coverage. - This was FALSE as no request for service was sent in. I trusted your office and waited again. I followed up with your office again in early April and was told that it was resubmitted and I would receive a call/email back. My son broke his elbow in early April and while following up on a prior authorization for his elbow I was told there was NO REQUEST for wisdom teeth removal on file. I called your office VERY upset since it had been 2 months and nothing was filed with insurance even though I was told on 2 separate occasions that it had been filed and resubmitted. The insurance company called that same day while I was on the phone to make sure you had the right information to file the prior authorization/request for service. Fast Forward - to May 12, 2022, nearly 3 months after we visited I called to find out the status of the claim and your office advised it was denied and that you don't send in appeals. I spent 30 minutes or so on the phone with BCBS community/DentalQuest community to appeal the decision and was told that there wasn't enough documentation provided by Dental Surgeons LTD to make the determination - no notes regarding spacing issues, no notes regarding the angle at which the teeth are coming in and she couldn't find any x rays. X-rays were taken by Iroquois Dental and sent to your office and also taken when he visited in February both sets show there isn't enough room and the angle of the teeth on top is an issue. What they received was "just a very basic request to remove the wisdom teeth with IV Sedation" Your office told me TODAY that 40-60% of your prior authorizations are denied with BCBS community/DentalQuest, I asked while I was requesting the appeal if this is the case with all oral surgeons and she stated "the % of denials is much lower when a doctor submits office notes and x rays explaining the reason for the request" The original Prior Authorization Number is The Appeal Number is I look forward to hearing back from you once the documents are submitted. Fantastic Experience here with Dr. Flynn and his staff…read more Everyone is so welcoming and pleasant! Dr. Flynn is a major part of the team of specialists I selected to correct my smile. I have two 20+ year crowns on my front teeth (which caused decay, leading to bone loss) I saw him in March for a Bone Graft to correct the issue - it healed so nicely. Surgery was quick and almost painless. He has a very accurate with those injections! After waiting 6+ months, Dr Flynn then performed a gingivectomy (similar to crown lengthening) He did such fabulous work reshaping my gum line to prepare for new crowns. They look amazing. So natural.. I will come back to update with photos once I have my crowns placed! I highly recommend Dr. Flynn!!!

I paid tens of thousands of dollars, and when I got my permanent dentures they didn't fit-not even close. They did a few adjustments and then said any further adjustments would cost $350 per adjustment (in addition to the $18,000 I already had paid.) They did not finish the job promised, and now I need new dentures. When I was told it would cost even MORE than paid, I told them absolutely not. Not one more cent. A week later I received a letter saying I was no longer welcome. The $1000 they offered in 'good will' was tied to a silence clause. Since then, I have someone who really knows what he's doing. I have needed a lot of work with the dentures from Smile Pro Studio at additional cost just to fit well enough to eat (top denture relining, bottom denture trimming and polish, then multiple adjustments to "kind of fit".). But speaking is an issue and therefore a new set will be made. My dentures made by Smile Pro Studio gave me a bad overbite, and was so off centered it looks ridiculous. Nothing was delivered as promised. Take note of the reviews. The most positive reviews are 7+ years old! Maybe things were better then, but I don't recommend and I was a new patient July 2024 - April 2025.

I would be picked up and moved into the dentist chair and my wheelchair would be moved into some never used corner. But at smile pro studios they accommodated me. They did my cleaning while I sat in my wheelchair. I didn't have to make myself uncomfortable to ease other people. I had a wonderful experience!

I had to cancel my cleaning because of a severe tendinitis flare in my shoulder and knee -- I physically couldn't drive or sit through the appointment. When I called to explain, the response was flat and unsympathetic. I was told the next available cleaning wasn't until October, with no offer of a cancellation list and no attempt to help. What makes this especially frustrating is that they call me about once a week asking if I want to come in for last‑minute openings when they have cancellations. But when I had a legitimate medical issue, suddenly there was no flexibility and no interest in accommodating a long‑time patient. After three decades with this practice, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable -- just basic courtesy. The way this was handled made it clear that loyalty doesn't count for much here anymore. At this point, I'm planning to find a different dentist for myself, my kids, and anyone else I care about. I still believe they could have handled this with more understanding, but they chose not to, and that's what ultimately pushed me to move on.

However, since the North American Dental Group has been involved, the scheduling and check in procedures have become bureaucratic and unnecessarily onerous. I find it particularly objectionable that all the calls are routed through the call center. When I call the dentist's office about my individual care, I expect to talk to someone who can actually answer my questions. This has led to a situation where I have been unable to schedule a 6 month routine dental exam. Instead, I could only schedule an appointment for 8 months out and be on a waiting list for an earlier appointment should someone else cancel. This is unacceptable!
