I then called back a week later and was told the truck had been there for a couple weeks now and that they wanted me to pay $5000 to get my own truck back that was stolen and destroyed in a high speed chase! As it was sitting in there yard a friemd of my sons was shown items of mine that where in the truck that I was denied access to my property that was in the truck including $1000s in hand and power tools as the truck was on the last leg of being safetied it had $1000 in tow straps and a $5000 stereo plus dash cams! So nakeaure not to have your vehicle towed to there yard no matter it being your fault or not even close to your fault! you would thing a local company knowing the truck was stolen they picked up the truck from the site were the truck crash and picked it up 72hr later these people are buddies with the police they see them everyday! I asked why so high, was told they couldn't start my car once the other work was done and put in a new starter. I said, no, the battery is finicky, if you would have called, I could have told you that. They argued it was the starter. I paid, because I'm not a mechanic....got home, the next day it didn't start. Cuz it was the finicky battery! That starter only lasted two years, btw. Took another car in and was billed TWICE for the same work. The first fix (no heat) cost 400$ and in three days I had no heat again. Took it back, they said they fixed it, and charged another 400$. I refused to pay the second bill. If it wasn't fixed tge first time, what did I pay for? They sent me letters and called my house every month for TWO YEARS to pay. Today I just paid it off. And now I'm telling everyone about their work.

I went to this business to have my vehicle safetied and could not believe the headache that…read moreresulted. To make a long story short they provided me with a list of repairs that they insisted were required in order for my vehicle to be safetied. This list include a blower fan, serpentine belt and front lower control arm...among other repairs. I mention those 3 repairs specifically because the blower fan has been replaced 11 months ago and worked as it should, it had a whine to it but was functional (should not and would not impact a safety). Additionally the serpentine belt was in good condition, no cracks, slack or visible damage, no whine or excessive noise occurring from the belt or pulleys. furthermore I had the vehicle in to have the lower control arm and ball joint replaced on the drivers side 4 days prior, a full inspection of the suspension system was conducted and a front and rear alignment. There was no issue noted on that day, nor did an additional shop note the issue that Stop N Steer claimed existed. Oh, and when I went to pick my vehicle up the drivers door was damaged. The hinge pin had been heavily bent and the door would not even close. I had to bring the vehicle to a body shop afterwards to get them to resolve the issue. Overall it was a pretty brutal experience.
