Very friendly and made the transaction a breeze. The girl working the desk made sure I understood the process for storing my items.

Having had a reasonably positive experience with junk removal (one time), I accepted an estimate from College Hunks to move my possessions from Bend to Corvallis, OR. Prior to the move I had already boxed 90% of all household items and pre-moved fragile and expensive items. For the most part only clothing items and furniture needed move prep. Since I was simultaneously loading and (later) unloading miscellaneous items into a rental cargo van, I was not able to oversee the movers full time. I was also not able to inspect every item prior to their departure at the destination. It was only some hours later when I started rearranging items to make space that I discovered a floor lamp had been damaged. This lamp is metal and cantilevered and requires a heavy base weight for stability. Almost the entire weight (a type of mortar with a plastic bottom facia) was missing (see image). A few bits of plastic littered the floor under the lamp. This amount of damage debris could not reasonably have gone unnoticed whether it happened during loading, in transit, or while unpacking. The lamp was unstable even with the cantilever arm folded against its support. There was no mention of this damage by the move crew or the foreman. I see this as dishonest. I gave the movers a tip before their departure. Big mistake. I suggest you unpack and inspect your belongings before making any judgements on tipping. You can always provide one later. I promptly contacted College Hunks to notify them of the damage (I had opted for the more expensive "replacement" insurance). The process was not easy. Calls were seldom picked up or returned and most communication was via email. Eventually, I provided several images to support my damage claim. When there was no follow up I tried calling again and at some point reached Morgan Parker (the owner?). She was unaware any images had been sent so I emailed the images again, this time directly to her. More delays until I was informed that "a check will be sent." What? Several days later a check arrived via USPS with no cover letter explaining the amount, just a blank sheet of paper. In one exchange I had said where the lamp was originally purchased. There is no evidence this store was ever contacted. There were no discussions of the lamp's value or my cost to replace it. How the check amount was arrived at remains a mystery. I have heard nothing from College Hunks since receiving the check. When shopping for a replacement (in function) from the original store, even the lowest cost lamps were more than the check amount. Since receiving the check no calls have been picked up and there has been no response to messages. In desperation I reached out to College Hunks customer service. My inquiry was handled by several separate individuals with no end result. I was informed that each branch is a franchise and managed locally. I was told they would "reach out" to the Bend office, but it's been eight days and still no response. "Certified professionals?" Is it professional to conceal damage? Is it professional to stonewall damage resolution? That's doubtful. Disappointed? Yes. One would think College Hunks would exercise more influence over their franchises if only to protect their brand name. Look carefully at the four star rating. Over twenty percent of the reviews on this site are one star (18 out of 86). Make that 19 out of 86! Caveat emptor.

From our initial consultation, she was professional, compassionate, and provided clear communication, including a realistic project timeline. She took the time to understand our goals and created a personalized plan that made the entire process feel manageable. We worked side-by-side to tackle the project, which went far beyond simple organization. Jodi helped us develop a plan for selling unwanted items and even managed the delivery of donations to various local charities. Her non-judgmental and kind-hearted approach made the process stress-free and rewarding. The results of her work are amazing, and I am continually impressed by her talent. I highly recommend Jodi at Organize Plus--prepare to be amazed!

I had a house full of clutter and just too many things. When I looked at my clutter it was overwhelming to me. After hiring Jodi, she made going through everything easy, and we worked together very efficiently. I wish I had hired Jodi years ago. We did one room at a time. Jodi has a system that works and she takes all the charitable items away for you, and takes them to the appropriate organizations, so you are not left with a big pile of "stuff" to deal with. A huge weight has been lifted for me now that my house is organized and less cluttered. I felt her fee very reasonable considering how efficient she is. Thank you, Jodi!

I would literally hire these two guys on every future move of my life. There is a reason this company is voted "Best in Bend." They carefully laid out protective barriers on the floors, doors and walls. They were friendly, respectful of our worldly possessions, and kept insisting they would stay and move boxes and furniture anywhere in the house (even though our only goal was to get everything unloaded from the truck and inside in a pile). Avoid Alliance Storage at all costs. This is your sign…read more I only needed a storage unit for two weeks while moving between rentals and was told over the phone that although they don't offer weekly rates, I could pay for a full month and then receive a prorated refund for the unused days, as long as I gave 30-day notice up front. I agreed, gave notice right away, and confirmed that I'd only need it for a couple of weeks. That should've been the end of it. But from the very beginning, this company operated unethically. First red flag: they charged my card before telling me the price or confirming anything. They literally said they needed my card info to proceed, then charged it immediately--without ever asking if I wanted to go through with it. When I confronted them about it, they blamed it on a new employee "in training." If that's true, there should have been a trained staff member supervising the call. Second red flag: when I moved out after two weeks and took photos of the clean, empty unit, they didn't respond for two days. When they finally did, they said they weren't going to check the unit until the end of the month and that I'd be charged for the full month anyway--completely contradicting what I was told and agreed to. I even showed them the text message they sent confirming I would receive a prorated refund for the unused days. I told them that even if they misspoke, they should honor their word and make it right. They refused. No apology. No ownership. Just bad business. This company is raking in money from tenants and providing bare minimum service in return. When given the choice between doing what's right and stealing $100 from a short-term customer, they chose the latter--even after being confronted with proof of their own words. If you're reading this and looking for storage in Bend, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Alliance Storage is unethical, misleading, and not worth the hassle. They charged out the ass for admin fees (clicking a few buttons on the computer) and tried selling me a lock for $20 that you can get for significantly less at Walmart. They lost my trust permanently over a refund they promised and then refused to honor.
