Some years have passed and because of my prior insurance i moved care but i have now moved back to OHSU and man oh man, am i glad. This location has changed so much and has so much more added. It's awesome! My cardiologist is still here - which is incredible because he is thee specialist for my specific cancer. Within the past month (1/1/21), i have had a ECHO - sadly, the guy i had wasn't very pleasant but i believe he got the job done. I've had many ECHO's done and usually the staff has been friendly and warm. He, was not one - he needed to place a dye in me to be able to see my results, yet i advised for him to use whichever arm was best for him and he barely looked at one and said "I'll try this one and if this one doesn't work, ill just use the other." I'd rather not be poked more than i have to be. Same day, i had an Ultrasound to look at my bladder/kidneys and she was super kind and made me feel at ease. There are two floors At the entrance - there are wheelchairs, if needed. Theres a vending machine at the entrance for some snacks. Chairs that are spread out, screen upstairs to let you know if your Doctor is on time or running a bit behind. Check in employees have been friendly and as thorough as possible with the repetitive script they need to say to each patient. I'm glad there is a location that's on my side of town that I'm able to go to every once in awhile instead of having to make the drive to downtown Portland.

Human help to quickly check in, no need to deal with confusing technologies - a big plus even for a tech person. The wait time is quite reasonable for a walk-in that I did for X-ray. Like 10minutes total. The technician was nice and helpful as well. Easy to follow her instructions. Quick and easy process that took about 5-10minutes in the X-ray room.

The only draw back here was parking, but even that wasn't so bad, I've certainly experienced way worse. I believe my test results are going to come back as "passed" ...I'm happy about that..but if I have any problems, the staff has instilled confidence that this is a good place to be. Once I got inside, the receptionists seemed rather lackadaisical and uninviting. While I was filling out my paperwork, a man came in and started apologizing rather loudly for his girlfriend's rude behavior a couple days earlier, which was also off putting. Once it was time for my MRI, I changed, then went into the MRI room. The person giving my MRI offered me headphones to listen to music of my choice, which was nice, because MRI machines are quite noisy. About a week later, I received very thorough results and notes from the doctor. Hopefully, I will not need a MRI again anytime soon, but if I do, I will choose another location.

UPDATE: OHSU said the first report is totally inaccurate. I filed a claim with my insurance and…read moreapparently Dr. Siker told them that I posted "very unkind comments" about his clinic. I feel that I stuck with the facts but you'll have to decide for yourself. All Siker had to do was take a look at the imaging and the first report compared to the second instead of ignoring me for three weeks until I escalated this and he finally responded. I'm still so disappointed in all of this.
