He spoke so quickly that I couldn't follow him and when I asked questions he seemed annoyed. He then went on a thirty second tirade about my weight and how much I need to lose weight. I am about ten pounds over weight so to have someone say that to me seemed unnecessary and considering he had just been examining my lady parts his comments made me feel very vulnerable and uncomfortable. I've never been one to seek out only female OBGYNs but I think after this experience I may. I certainly will never let Dr. Nunnelly anywhere near my lady parts again.

I've had a very similar cut treated at another urgent care before, where Dermabond was applied successfully to close the wound. I also work in healthcare and have seen Dermabond administered properly many times. Unfortunately, my experience with Carmelia Petch, PA, was completely different. During the application, her hands were noticeably shaky, and the Dermabond was applied messily, leaving purple adhesive across my thumb and hand while parts of the actual incision appeared inadequately covered. Very little of the adhesive was used, and I left feeling as though the wound itself had not been properly secured--the entire reason I came in. Given the location in Westlake and the appearance of such a beautiful, modern facility, I expected a much higher standard of care. The front desk staff was very nice, but I was incredibly disappointed with the treatment I received from this particular PA. It felt like a complete waste of my time and money, and I would not feel comfortable having her treat a similar injury again.

Crazy. Jamison clearly has issues & doesn't know how to properly book an appointment. Why would you fax the doctor test results when they don't even have you as a patient?! Anyways, I just felt I needed to come here & let everyone know my experience. Fain is great & the on-site lab technicians are awesome as well - RHONDA rocks! I always have issues getting my blood taken because my veins are small, deep, and like to wiggle. Everywhere else I've gone in the past I'd come out with about 3-4 band aids from all the poking, but Rhonda always gets blood in 1 try. love it!

We were taken to a room within 5 minutes and greeted by two nurses who immediately began consultation and setting up the IV. I love how quick the discharge process was -- they make it so simple for you. Shoutout to Colin and Sherry, they are the best nurses we have come across and that says a lot given we are in an ER every few months. They are very great at making you feel heard and overall just amazingly nice people. The best of the best. Dr. Wright was very knowledgeable and just as respectful/nice as the nurses. Dr. Wright spent the time with us that a lot of medical providers fail to do. He explained options, possible effects, and helped us with decision making. He never made us feel like he was in a rush. He listened and advised. Thank you for that. Overall, we were taken very good care of at Vik Complete Care and will certainly choose this location in the future. I always felt rushed and I never really felt a connection with the doctors there. Mostly because every time I went (once a year) they had a new doctor doing my exam and they were so cold and indifferent, that I never felt comfortable asking questions or going over any concerns I had. When I did ask things, I felt like they just gave the most generic google type answer I left more confused then I when I came in. Dr. Asfouri on the other hand took so much time going through all my questions and made me feel truly comfortable! He always makes it a point to go over my health needs and ask me questions that I haven't thought to ask. I always leave feeling reassured that I am in the best care I could want or need. I'm now pregnant and can not begin to rave about the knowledge and care I receive from Dr. Asfouri! His staff is truly amazing! Everyone is friendly, smiling and they all seems to truly like being there and helping people out. You don't get that in health care often, so they really are a rare gem of an office!

I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience with Dr. Souhail Asfouri and this office…read more First, the clinic did not appear prepared for my appointment or have the information from my PCP referral readily available. I was referred because of an abnormal Pap result (LSIL), and I came expecting the doctor to review my actual results and explain the appropriate next steps. Instead, Dr. Asfouri did not have my HPV test result, yet much of the conversation focused on HPV. He explained HPV to me and asked questions about whether I had sexual partners other than my husband. I found this particularly frustrating because the issue I was specifically trying to resolve was that I had never received an HPV result confirming whether I was positive or negative. My documented result was an abnormal Pap/LSIL. What concerned me most was the examination. Dr. Asfouri appeared ready to proceed with a cervical biopsy without first clearly explaining to me what he was going to do, exactly why the biopsy was necessary, what I should expect during the procedure, or what pain-management options were available. I was already being examined when I stopped and asked whether my insurance would cover the biopsy. At that point, he immediately removed his gloves, told me to get dressed, and told me to call my insurance myself. I left without having the procedure and without feeling that my questions or concerns had been properly addressed. I also had an uncomfortable experience with the front-office environment. While waiting, I heard staff discussing patients and laughing, which I found very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable about privacy and how patients are treated when they are not present. I understand that a cervical biopsy may be medically appropriate after certain abnormal Pap results, and my complaint is not simply that a biopsy was recommended. My concern is the lack of communication, preparation, explanation, and patient-centered care before attempting to proceed with an invasive procedure. I paid a $40 copay for this appointment and ultimately had to return to my PCP to request another referral because I did not feel comfortable continuing my care here. Patients dealing with abnormal cervical screening results are already understandably concerned. They deserve clear explanations, informed consent, professionalism, and an opportunity to understand both the procedure and their insurance coverage before anything is done. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Dr. Mehta suggested a "breath test" and sure enough I have Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth. (SIBO) I'm now on daily probiotics and am following a low-fodmap diet. He prescribed me a medication and I am going to see him again in 3 months. I've never felt rushed during my appointment. I have finally found a doctor who is willing to explore options and get to the cause of my daily struggle. IBS is not just a gut problem, it has a lot to do with relieving stress. Dr. Mehta understands this and cares about my gut as well as my well being. He does have a strong Indian accent, but will always repeat something if I ask. This is the only reason I give him 4 stars. I highly recommend Dr. Mehta.

I have moved away from Austin and spent a good year looking for a doctor to replace Dr. Ambler. Having gone to him for many years, it is not an easy task. He was one of the best doctors I've ever had. He not only spends a fantastic amount of time with you to really help you as a patient, his knowledge is just unsurpassed. He impressed me every visit and my job was analyze doctors so I can be harsh and picky. Friends ask me my opinion about doctors and I can spend a great deal of time saying what to look for but if anyone in Austin asks me I simply say to go to Dr. Ambler, you can't go wrong. You get in to the appointment fast rather than spending your time in a waiting room, he will be able to figure out a diagnosis for issues no one else can, and he has a good bedside manner. He is a fantastic doctor.

BCBS (zero stars for them) denies your MRI but you have a nurse friend who says just ask the attending physician for a medical necessity letter so you can challenge the denial of the MRI. That usually works... but no, my Dr. Ambler says I do not need one. What? you were not even in the room Dr Ambler... I pay for everything out of pocket anyway... why are you not sending my request for a letter to the attending physician? Moving to ADC... I'm done with Austin Regional and Ambler...
