Their communication about the hold up(s) came only after email from us and we ended up threatening them. 10 months later it was done! I would hesitantly recommend them but cannot be whole hearted about it.

I spent over $10,000 on what was supposed to be custom-fitted doors from EcoTech Windows and Doors. It was the single worst purchase I've ever made. Their salesperson, Craig King, showed up at my door with the hard sell. He talked up how superior their products were and made a clear promise: if a standard-size door would fit, he'd refund the difference in price. That refund never happened. Classic bait-and-switch sales talk. The "custom fitted" door they sold me didn't fit properly. The overall quality of the doors is awful. The locking mechanisms are poorly designed and difficult to use -- the door doesn't fully catch the lock, so you're forced to slam it shut just to get it to latch. That's not a minor inconvenience; it's a daily frustration and a security issue. Installation was a joke. The company hires installers by contract, and it shows. The connecting piece on my 4-panel sliding doors had visible gaps. The installer insisted everything was "great" and simply smeared caulking over the hole -- a hole I can still see daylight through from outside. Shoddy workmanship papered over with silicone is not a professional installation. After dealing with these defects, I sent multiple emails begging management to come look at the problems in person. Response? Essentially nothing useful. When my screen door wouldn't close properly, they had the gall to claim I damaged it and flat-out refused to replace it. No accountability, no customer service, just finger-pointing and stonewalling. This is the most mismanaged company I have ever dealt with. From the overpromising salesperson to the subpar product, the careless contracted installers, and the complete refusal to stand behind their work, every step was a failure. Stay far away from EcoTech Windows and Doors. You will not be happy, and good luck getting any of your legitimate problems fixed. I wish I had never opened the door to their salesman.

Living in Northern Ontario, we searched for the best option during our extensive house remodel to…read moreget the best windows out there with consideration of durability and energy efficiency. We have some big/huge windows, and considered wood, vinyl, and fiberglass. We dove deep into the NRCAN ratings of window suppliers, and Fibertec checked off all the boxes (being a Canadian Company was a bonus). The windows all installed well and the house is warm and cozy with no condensation on the inside of these triple paned windows. Overall, these windows were an amazing choice and have held up well. Fibreglass (with glass in the name) expands and contracts at a similar rate to the glass panes themselves, so we do not regret our choice! At about the 13-to 14-year mark, we experienced some failures of the seals within approximately 60% of the windows. The first sign is frost between the panes (in the corners) on the coldest winter days (say -20C or lower). In another year, the low-E coating begins to break down, becoming patchy and noticeable. The initial 15-year warranty paid off, as Fibertech has a solid process in place for honouring their warranty and shipping new panes for replacement. The replacement panes are all built with super spacer technology, which is designed to prevent the problem of failing seals. We have new warranties on the new panes and are only 2 years in with no problems noted.

They got HALF of the order wrong!! (The other half was in one size). Crazy thing is that I sent them The measurements in cm and inches! And I'm not talking about mm or cm bigger, I mean INCHES bigger!! That's a huge difference!! And a huge inconvenience!! I don't understand why the SPECIFIC measurements I ordered came all wrong! And to top it off, there reps had asked me why I did not measure each piece before using them?? How does this question even make sense?? It was a specific measurement ordered.. I should not have to!! I gave them the chance to fix the order - I reached out several times- But In nooo way were they interested in fixing there mistakes. Customer Service ZERO!! To add, there prices are no different than anywhere else, there location was just more convenient at that time, and I was going to refer a lot of clients to them ( I even filled out a business form to register with them) but they just ended up costing me more because I now had to fix there mistakes!! God forbid if you have an issue with your order, I've never seen such a lack in customer service support
