We have been going to Northside for the last couple of years. We originally switched from another provider in Spartanburg, not for anything bad, but mainly for distance to our home. I have found the Doctor and staff to be fantastic. They alerted me to potential problems and how they were checking annually to ensure we addressed them if needed. The frame selection is good, and for the first time in my life, I was able to get the same frames that I had last year (and I love). Price-wise, it is obviously insurance-dependent, but I am paying less now than I did a few years back. Lastly, I was told to expect my frames back in two weeks, and I received my progressives with all the bells and whistles in 5 business days (even with a holiday and weekend in the middle)! I had an appointment with them some time back mind you I am a 78 year old woman on a retired fixed income. My exam was fine but when it was time for them to sell me glasses I wasnt financially ready to do that the day of my appointment. The doctor and his assistant pretty much belittled me and shamed me for not buying that day. I wanted to pay my property taxes first and then work on purchasing glasses but that seemed like a crime to them. I was humiliated beyond belief and felt like crawling out of there. Went last year and was in and out fast, she took the time to double check my eyes and go over everything. Disappointed in the time it took to get my glasses back, mistakes were made first time so glasses had to be sent back and redone, it took over a month to finally get them. read more
