I decided to use them, but to be honest, expected the usual run around, slack service, unexpected delays etc that I seem to get from so many other places. Totally wrong! These guys were ready to go the moment I dropped my car off. They have good clear systems and didn't just manage to keep to schedule, they actually finished early (what the? That never happens!!). The job that they did was great; it was a nice extra touch that my truly filthy car was given a bit of a spruce up and clean. Could not recommend them highly enough. I know that an earlier reviewer didn't love their service, but I'm just wishing I could see service like this in more places!

Whether for a major or minor service, I always trust Everton Mechanical Repairs with my car. My whole family does the same, and we've built a relationship with the team there over the years. I ummed and ahhed a bit over this review…read more The repair on my car was fine, no problems with the repair. Based on that I might have gone more stars, but there's a catch. Their website says they clean cars inside and out before handing back to the owner, and well... they kinda did... sorta... Let's start with the outside. My tyres were all black and shiny, lovely. The side of the car with the damage was all cleaned and polished (as evidenced by the thick smears of polish left on the car), but not the other side. There was a clear line down the middle. The man doing the hand over grabbed a cloth and wiped it down as best he could. Inside. Well sure, they vacuumed the carpets, but over all the interior was dirtier than when I took it in. There's fine white dust all through their workshop, which is to be expected. I didn't expect the drivers door to be covered in the hand marks from it (which he also tried to wipe down), and when I got the car home I also noticed the back seat was covered in more hand marks. I don't even know what they needed to be doing in the back seat to repair a panel on the front of the car. Sure, I only drive a Ford, but I sure hope they don't treat the prestige cars in their name this way. While the repair was fine, quite honestly, if my insurer ever refers me here again I'm going to ask for a different place.

And this was amplified recently…read morewhen I parallel parked too closely to a curb and couldn't get wheel clearance to turn out when leaving, thus incurring rim rash on the black alloys of my VW Tiguan R-Line. So, went to my Tiguan owners group Facebook page to ask for rim repair recommendations in Brisbane. One of the first to respond was a woman on the Gold Coast who had used FIXARIM and posted some amazing before and after pics, so checked to see if they had a Brisbane office and they do. I booked an appointment online, was quoted a very reasonable $160, (what price vanity?) and was contacted shortly thereafter. A rim repair tech named Alex came to our home, assessed the damage, invited me to watch if I wanted to (a nice touch which I did) and then the magic began. The whole process from start to finish was an exercise in professional service and technique. The outcome? Showroom quality, and I'll be referring FIXARIM to others who make the same parking mistake I did or worse to get their rims looking like new. FIXARIM. The name says it all!

As we only had 1 car and 2 kids, I really needed to book it in for a service it was long due for. I thought of all the regular places I took my previous cars and then I thought, why not try Ultra Tune... they had a shop in the Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre car park and was nice and convenient, close to where I lived. I rang them up and spoke to Shane the owner, he was friendly, very helpful and was very up front about the costs of the service and what the process would be. So book my Lamby (car pet name) in I said. The same day I rang, my car was booked in. The car was serviced, wheels were shined and the interior was vacuumed. I picked the car up without any delays, they rang me to let me know what was happening and they rang me to let me know my car was ready to be picked up (simple things like this usually have gone overlooked in my past experience). I picked my car up and Shane was really professional, told me he ran the Ultra Tune in Darra and had waited 15 years to get the spot in the shopping centre, only moved in 6 months ago. He was down to earth and the prices were very reasonable. The battery we had to purchase was $100 cheaper than what RACQ had charged me previously and the service was a good $100 cheaper than the next quote I got. The workshop was clean, well looked after and everything was new. I am definetely impressed with the personal service I received, the friendly attitude and the efficiency of the servicing of my car. I am definetely taking my car back there the next time I need to, and maybe I can learn a few pointers. Plus, I am a big supporter of local business. A wheelin' good time.

I do have to add a disclaimer that the extended time may have been my fault, as I was asked if I needed my car back by a particular time and I made the potential mistake of saying I had the day off and was going to wander around the suburb, "so no hurry". I was advised that I'd get a phone call before any work above and beyond the service's standard labour was done - "should be soon, around an hour or so". Three hours later (when I was a bit done with wandering) I figured I'd better call them, in case they'd gotten my number wrong or their calls hadn't been going through while I was burning through data on my phone, or some other excuse. No worries, hey! They only just had my car up on the blocks. Again, like I said, I will claim responsibility for the delay. Make sure you give ABS a pick-up time and I reckon everything should be fine. I was quoted decent prices (eventually, but still in advance) for the additional stuff my car needed, the gents were all lovely, and in the end the timing turned out quite well for me - I got the "come and get it" call just as I'd finished lunch. I would definitely entrust my car's servicing to Bob and the crew at ABS Woolloongabba again.

I recently had problems with my Rav 4 - it was making some pretty terrible noise and running like a hunk of junk! I took it into the guys at Stop Masters and they gave it the once over. Initially the diagnoses was not good - there were major issues with the engine and they thought I may have to replace it! Expensive much!! Luckily, Darren used his skills to avoid having to undergo this costly procedure. He pulled apart the engine and cleaned it all out, he took pictures of all of the dirt and grime which had built up on the engine and talked me through the steps he had taken. After all was said and done I was only out of pocket $800 - this was a great compared to the $4,000 it would have been to replace the engine! So grateful that they looked at the option that would benefit the customer most - not the business.
