I had a few businesses give me quotes but this company was more personable. They had me send photo and gave me an honest and reasonable estimate. They arrived on time and gave me heads up on their ETA. The day of hauling, they walked through the items and told me where they would end up- dump, repurposed, recycled. I gave them more items than I expected since I felt they would repurpose them as opposed to hauling the load to dump. Nice men with good manners and super helpful. I will call them again. Ps. Old TVs cost extra to remove but well worth the additional price. But I would recommend trying Best Buy- they allow one item per household for e-waste but i am not sure about older TVs.

Like the Visa commercials getting that space back in my home ... priceless. I learned that they also have convenient drop-off at local Guardian storage facilities. So, later the same day I dropped of 2 computer towers, a printer, and a 14 lb black and white (no color really just black and white) laptop (1995 era) to my local Guardian facility. Call Guardian before going there to make sure it is a drop-off location.

Now being completely over the idea of having a repair man look at it, I just wanted to get rid of it. Unfortunately this is easier said than done, since the garbage companies will not take them with the rest of your trash. After loading this beast into the back of my husband's Nissan we set out to ELoop to drop it off. Their hours, if I recall correctly, are Monday thru Friday 10 am to 5 pm. When we pulled up there were three men working in the back of the warehouse where you unload your electronics. It was here that I discovered that they no longer accept items for free. My 55" DLP cost me an Ulysses S Grant. That's $50.00 for the rest of you. I wasn't too happy to find this out but in the moment I wasn't about to say nah I'll just take it back home. Pshaw! We unloaded the TV and went around front to pay. There I was told it depended upon the size of your electronic as to what you would pay. From what I recall a 25" or less is $25.00, and a 35" is $35.00, all the way up to $50.00 which I believe is their max charge. They stated they used to accept recycles for free but are no longer able to. There are only a handful of places that do this so I was ok spending the money to get rid of my electronic but I would look to a place that doesn't charge in the future.
