This is an independent practice where the medical staff is focused on you, the patient, rather than bureaucracy. I've had several in office procedures which Dr. Davidson might have done in another facility but kindly opted to perform in office to be conscious of my budget and health care coverage at the time. These procedures have always gone very well, I felt well supported during my aftercare and all issues were thoroughly explained throughout my care. Dr. Davidson and her staff take impressively extensive notes at each visit and clearly review them before you return so that they are able to ask relevant questions about your life, family, career, etc. I've read other reviews regarding the front desk staff being curt - this has never been an issue for me. I hopefully say that I see my own attitude reflected in the service I receive from Ms M but whether or not this is the case, I have always received kind, empathetic and good humored care throughout this office. It's patient care worth waiting for, without question.

One thing that I really appreciated was that she did an ultrasound prior to placement to make sure the sizing is right as a nulliparous female (not many offices do that!) Yearlies are a breeze- their office always makes notes of not only medical concerns but also just your social life in general so that when you visit in 12 months they can actually remember details about you! I love Dr.Davidson's bedside manner, though it is rather quirky/loud/friendly she makes it very easy to feel comfortable. Now the Cons: There is alllways a long wait at her office. I'm normally there for 2 hrs for a 20 minutes chat the her (yes she actually is in the room for 20 minutes!) Also her front receptionist ranges from outright rude to mildly irritated.

I typically schedule my routine well-woman visits with Adrienne Hoagland, who is a nurse practitioner with this practice and is the literal best. Her attitude toward everything is very matter-of-fact and positive, and she always puts me at ease. I've been seeing her for many years, so she knows my history and remembers things that I've told her at past visits. I am not in the market for an obstetrician anymore (thank goodness), but for all of my gyno needs, this will be my go-to practice.

Then I was told she wouldn't be in until the afternoon. My appointment was at 9:15. I should have been notified earlier that morning that I did not need to come in and to reschedule. I had to reschedule anyway for March. Someone dropped the ball with communication. I was not very happy.

Important to have a pap smear. I had not had a pap smear since 2017. The reason for the review is billing issues. No one to talk to on site. My insurance notified me Apr. 25th snail mail Medicare does not cover for this or service. Medicare states I am eligible every 2 years. It was how it was billed. Billing has received nothing from the insurance regarding the EOB charge? 6/7th will be 60 days. Billing 1st encounter not available the day working from home? told to wait another week. They informed me this how they always bill. Then why is Medicare saying it is not a covered charge? Had me sign an ABN at the office told me I needed to sign in case Medicare doesn't pay. Something is not adding up and causing me to be stressed. Not a great experience.

My OBGyn wanted me to get the copper IUD, but my insurance had previously not paid for it. They…read moresaid they would keep checking and eventually told me they had contacted my insurance and that it was covered. I go have it done last November and all was fine. But now, I'm getting a $3k bill because it wasn't covered. I talked to their office several times and was told it wasn't their fault and was hung up on. I called my insurance who said the office had never called them, they had no record of the office contacting them, and that my insurance has never covered the IUD. So now I am unable to go in to see my OBGyn because I have a hold on my account for a bill that I was assured several times would be $0, so if my IUD ends up perforating my uterus or causing other problems, I am unable to get the care I need. I have to go to another OBGyn now, which are all booked up until the end of the year, because of this. I am very unhappy with this and have received no help on any of this from the office. Super annoying, since I was assured over and over again that my insurance would cover this at no charge.

She takes her time with you & is very open to answering questions. She also has a modern view on doctoring from what I can tell. (Most doctors I've been to think that I need all sorts of supplements since I'm a vegetarian, but generally, as long as you don't just eat processed crap, that's usually the opposite. She knew this & treated me great & thought that I was perfectly healthy. So many doctors are still misinformed about my kind of diet, sadly.) I really enjoy going in for my prenatal checkups thanks to her.

I initially had an OB that I did not click with and decided to change to Dr. Colvin half-way through my first pregnancy. Can I tell you that she is the most amazing woman EVER! When you are opening other people up into a vulnerable space, like pregnancy, you want to be sure that you are taken care of and that's what she does. Dr. Colvin is so knowledgeable and she feels more like a friend than a doctor. She was there for me throughout both of my high risk pregnancies!!! She made sure I was on track and encouraged me every step of the way. Every time I had an appointment, she would let me know that I was doing a great job! I hope to have every pregnancy with her (don't tell my husband I said that, he wants to be done having kids but with an OB like Dr. Colvin, you kinda want a reason to keep going back, lol). Lastly, the ladies in the office are amazing! They are kind and they make sure you have everything taken care of. They helped me get all of my appointments scheduled and they are so awesome at asking me how I am doing and are so friendly.

But though the office might be on the small side, that kind of lends a homey atmosphere to it. Many of the doctors and nurses are the same as the Carmel office, because they rotate back and forth between offices. The nurse practitioner that I see, Adrienne, shares time between this Westfield office and the Carmel one, so which office I see her in depends on what day I see her. By the way: If you're looking for a good person to see for general gyno things like well-woman exams and paps, Adrienne is the best! She is very professional and good at her job, and is also warm but direct. Visiting any kind of doctor is not my favorite thing in the world, and the gynecologist is no exception, but the doctors and staff at OB/GYN of Indiana make it a good experience.

I've reached out to the Case manager whom my mother receives information from made me feel like I was less than a human being because I have behavioral health issues yet kind of joked about it. I called (like I said earlier) to coordinate my mother's Dr appointment upon her discharge day. Aside from the case manager treating me bad I called to confirm my mother's must make appointment and someone answered. I expressed my concern and was put on hold. I wasn't put on hold and I hear EVERYTHING the nurse or whomever say terrible things about me and she figured out that the phone was not on the hanger yet she hung up without acknowledging I heard every word and just hung up. I called back and there was no answer. The care. I'll give a 5 just because my mother has been treated right. But as far as giving information and being polite to family members whom has loved 1s in the facility and showing respect. Just from my experience. They get a ZERO in my book.
