Heck I almost do now. It is very hard to get an appointment with Dr. Ertel so call in there soon. I've also worked with Dr. Adams a couple times who was equally as great. They are rarely late for appointments and although there have been a couple times the doc has had to deliver a baby so my appointment has to get changed, they are always prompt with communication. Lastly-and most important- I mentioned she has delivered two of my babies. They were c-section but she was totally willing for me to try a VBAC after my first c-section with a previous doctor. That was important because I'm plus size and a number of doctors have too many reservations to try. Seriously- go here.

DIRECTIONS: Dr. Duplars practice is located in Suite 400 on 13420 N Meridian st Suite 400, Carmel, IN 46038 When you walk into the building theres a security officer desk on the left side. If you are not wearing a mask they will give you one. To get to SUITE 400 from the front entrance there is an elevator straight ahead. With renovations completed last summer, it is not nearly as difficult to find. Look at the directory on the main floor and make sure you take the correct elevator - not all roads lead to Rome (err, I mean not all elevators lead to the ob-gyn). The new building + office space is swanky and new. On my visits, I've never had to wait too long for my appointment, although that isn't always the case once you're in the exam room. That's unfortunately to be expected at a doctor's office, but it's not nearly as bad as the stereotypical wait time. The staff here has the entire process down to a science like a smooth-operating machine. However, this can sometimes make it feel more like a factory than a personal experience. That being said, I've always been pleased with my doctor (Dr. Flora) and she has answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. She makes me feel comfortable (as comfortable as you can at the ob-gyn) and I would recommend her and WHA.

Got all of my prenatal care for my first pregnancy done here, and coming back for my second baby. The only negatives I've ever had are some occasional rude-ish ultrasound techs, but the doctors and nurses are TOP tier, I love them. Dr. Kim was my OBGYN, but she has since moved to be a full time laborist at Riley. She was as personable and kind as they come. Everyone in this office is so pleasant and supportive, I'm so happy to be coming back for baby #2.

But because everyone that I have had contact with, has handled me and my situation with so much compassion. Some even going above and beyond to make sure I received proper care. 2 years ago, I developed Cat Scratch Disease after being bit, trapping a feral cat. My family doctor dismissed me, an ER doctor misdiagnosed me, and a surgeon decided maybe it could be cancer. I was sent to the breast center for a mammogram, ultrasound, and biopsy. After the biopsy showed whatever was going on with me wasn't cancer, the surgeon also dismissed me and said I should just be thankful it wasn't cancer. No one would even test me for Cat Scratch Disease and made me to feel like they thought I was just being a hypochondriac. A nurse from St Vincent Breast Center called me a few days after the biopsy to check on me, and I broke down crying and told her about how horribly ill I was and how dismissed I felt by all the doctors who had "treated" me. She promised to do everything she could to help me be heard and my medical issues addressed. This nurse personally took it upon herself to go and ask a pathologist to look at my biopsy results. The pathologist said my results looked like Cat Scratch Disease to them and I was quickly sent to a Disease Specialist. Because the illness was allowed to hang out in my lymphatic system for so long, I eventually had to have a lymph node removed, a year later. Now, another year later, I'm having pain in the same area again. So my new primary care doctor ordered a mammogram. When I called St Vincent Breast Center to schedule my mammogram, the woman helping me quickly noticed that my order had been written incorrectly. My new primary care physician had just ordered a general routine mammogram. She insisted with the complications that I was having and given my history, I needed a 3D mammogram and an ultrasound of my underarm. I am so thankful that she did this, because it was during the ultrasound that they discovered one extremely large lymph node that needs to be biopsied. My doctors office said that St Vincent Breast Center contacted them immediately with a request for a new order. Every time that I've been to the St Vincent Breast Center, I am always impressed with how every single person you encounter is very polite and compassionate. Not just the techs and the doctors, but also the women who help walk you from one place to the next and stay with you until the doctor comes in to talk to you. The women who check you in, deal with your insurance, make your appointments...stellar. What a relief to know that Indy has St Vincent Breast Center.

I'm not being dramatic, not once in eight months have I been able to get anyone on the phone. They advise to book within the portal. ANYTIME I submit a request, it's a delayed response. 8 days ago, I called, no answer. Sent a portal message explaining it was an urgent medical matter that I felt she needed seen for that day. The contacted me back today, 8 days later. I 10/10 do not recommend. If you prefer a more holistic approach with peds that don't push vaccinations, there are other much better offices than this.

She is in contact with them and is up to date on my overall health and care. Booking and communication is easier than ever now with the online portal. I'm not happy that she had to sell her practice, but it is almost impossible for a doctor to be independent now days, and completely understand the reasoning behind it. She's done great with all the changes and I know will continue to do so. I feel very confident in referring her to family and friends! Thank you!
