George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. All he did was guess and said a lot of maybe this or maybe that. He even had problems using his volt meter and actually bent his needles and had to replace them. He couldn't get a good reading because he couldn't get the positive needle (red) in the volt meter and he did it twice/three times. Then he proceeded to disengage the pipe inside the furnace to shut the unit down, which then caused another code to appear. After that, he then expressed that maybe the exhaust/fresh air pipes going outside were clogged or that the installation was mis-aligned (after 4 years)! After an hour of guessing and coming up blank, he then said "well it's the blower motor and maybe the power switch or the pipes to the outside." I asked if he had the motor or the switch on the truck and he said it would have to be ordered, would probably get Tuesday and could install Wednesday and I would receive a call. I expressed my concern because of the cold and the frequency of the furnace going on and off and I was told to just turn it off at the main power switch for a minute and it would reset and work fine. I waited 3 wekes for a phone call not two days. I contacted the company Owner, Kevin Budinger and received no response. They ripped me off for $115! I purchased this furnace from this company, so I'm not just a new customer.

We hired North Shore Electric to design and install a gutter and downspout de-icing system. Despite…read morethe system being powered on, the downspouts freeze solid, water backs up, and ice pools at the base--creating a serious safety hazard. We raised this issue last winter and again this year, and each time our concerns were dismissed, with blame placed on us despite the system being turned on well in advance of freezing conditions. We are now being told that their 10-year "warranty" only covers the cable itself, not evaluating whether the system is functioning properly or was correctly designed. In other words, if the system fails to do its basic job, we still have to pay them just to tell us why. What is the point of a warranty if the company refuses to stand behind system performance or take responsibility for obvious design failures? Between the unsafe conditions, refusal to investigate without charging high fees, and repeated deflection, this experience has been extremely disappointing. We would not recommend this company. It's clear that once they receive their nearly $5,000 payment, customer support ends.
