To book the appointment, you have to leave a credit card deposit of $50. This is not applied at the visit. We made our 90 minute appointments for 11:30am. We received text messages the day prior stating they would be busy due to the holiday and we'd need to start at 11:45. This was not an ask. It's only 15 minutes, but how did they already know they'd be running late? Really it should have been a request for us to start later. The facility is clean and nicely decorated with soft lighting throughout. We were given slippers to wear during our visit. We filled in information forms and waivers then proceeded to our treatment rooms. We booked our treatments separately but were brought to a room with two beds. It's cool with my friend, but if I were by myself I would not be keen on sharing a therapy room with a stranger, especially since we changed to spa tops in that room, no private changing area. Again not the worst thing, but an option to change privately would be welcome. The room is again softly lit and nicely decorated. The service started with a scalp analysis. Then we proceeded to our beds for 90 minutes. The services were good, but I would have liked it if the technician explained what was happening and asked if the pressure or temperature were good along the way. The foot mask add on was $20 and was a mask from a package. I was thinking for the price it would be a bit more special. The language barrier with the technicians are steep, so we do not ask many questions nor for any adjustments. The front desk is more understandable. Very polite and professional though. We were not hard sold on products on the way out which was nice.

I started with a dotolo colonic, which means I have a therapist to assist me and massage my abdomen during the procedure. I have since graduated to the libbe colonic with no assistance and it is much more private. My body feels lighter after cleansing/emptying my intestines. So I sip bone broths and drink teas. The ozone sauna or oxygen pod is also great; you sit naked on a towel as your pores are bathed in pure oxygen and expels toxins. It feels hot like a steam bath and only your head sticks out. Low and behold, their therapy and home exercises come from their computer program which is not at all individualized. My therapist, Maggie, picked and chose what exercises she would give me to do at home and which ones she would not. Also, on days I told her I was in pain did not stop her from having me do exerting exercises with many repetitions and hold times. I always got more sore after the therapy sessions and into the following day. Finally, I was forced to quit further therapy after just 4 sessions as I felt no improvement from the therapy sessions and home exercises. Maggie said it usually takes 4-6 weeks of therapy sessions to evaluate progress or lack thereof. Why oh why would I proceed with my therapy sessions and daily home exercises if both have not helped with my low back pain which has not at all gotten better if not worse? All in all I was not at all pleased with this place and my therapist and would never come back nor recommend them to anyone.

Vive is a very calming space. The lights are low and it's very comfortable. It looks small at first but there's a small waiting room down the hall from the entrance. Since it was my first visit, I spoke with the receptionist prior to my visit, and I filled out a medical/treatment history upon arrival. Amanda reviewed it with me thoroughly before starting my treatment. Amanda was also very professional. In addition to going over health information, she made sure that I was comfortable with what massage entails, that consent and comfort was paramount, and that I could tell her at any point if I was uncomfortable with what was happening. I really appreciated that clear communication. Something that's really helpful is that Vive lists all their therapists on their website, and in addition to their specialties it lists their pressure level. That was extremely helpful to me, because I knew I wanted someone who used firm pressure, so that definitely helped me find the right therapist. My time with Amanda was not only relaxing but helpful, as my back--whilst not completely neutral--felt much better after my session. And within the week the pain was essentially gone. I don't know if this was the reason, but it was certainly a contributing factor. In addition to standard massage, they have an infrared sauna here as well. They also sell a few items that may provide further relief. There are a few parking spaces in the lot directly in front of the business, and there are a few diagonal spaces on the street as well (just be sure not to block the sidewalk).
