It's an oldie which I always…read moreenjoy because staying in the older motels from the 1950-60's reminds me of trips I took with my parents in that era. Everything seemed to be in good working order. The refrigerator was on the cold side and nearly froze my food but I'd rather have it be too cold then too warm. The price included refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, but no coffee in the room. They do have it in the lobby though which is good enough for me. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. I didn't use the TV so I don't know how it is. There's a nice big desk if you want to do any paperwork, and free WiFi. Everything was relatively quiet the night I was here. And in spite of how old a motel it is I didn't pick up one single iota of smoke smell in my room. I don't know how they do it in a motel that dates back to the era when everyone smoked inside and that smell must have fused into carpets, linens and furniture. I would stay here again for all of the above reasons. The bad? Everything is really old. I know, I just said I liked that huh? But maybe not everyone would so I'm warning you. The furniture looks like early last century Goodwill. It would benefit greatly from some minor refinishing like a rub down with Old English Polish in the darker color. The decor is dark colors which I don't personally find appealing but everything appeared to be as clean as old things can get. The microwave looks like the first one I had in the early 1980s with a dial instead of push buttons and the side of it was popped out exposing the electrical innards so I hope I didn't get radiated. My coffee tasted kind of funny after I heated it. The dial was sticky. When I went to use the microwave it didn't turn on and I discovered it wasn't plugged in and the plug barely reached the outlet. I had to scoot the microwave over to gain the extra inch it needed to plug it in. The stickiness on the dial came right off when I wiped it with a wet washcloth so they just need to remember to look for that when they clean the room. I was too warm in the room when I was trying to fall asleep and then it was chilly by morning. Neither was bad enough to make for bad sleep. There is a thermostat on the wall but I don't know if it works as I didn't hear anything humming into action when I adjusted the lever on it. The linens are also quite old, thin, fraying, and off-white but were definitely clean and smelled good. Would I recommend this place? If you're like me, just looking for a cheap place to sleep that's clean and safe, this place fits the bill! If you're looking for a resort, go find a place that costs 3 or 4 times as much.

They are slightly different, but in my humble opinion they also have a lot of good things in common with each other. Some of the things that stood out about the Delta Motel however were the fact that they do offer very comfortable king sized bed rooms available, some of the rooms even had beautiful REAL WOOD tongue and groove looking wood panels and their wi-fi worked really nice, which is always a huge bonus when we're staying at a hotel or motel. These guys really focus on hospitality with their customers.

The rooms are large, and efficient use of space. They are attractive and nicely decorated. There is a large tv in the sitting area and a large tv on the wall across from the bed. A refrigerator, microwave, and a nice amount of storage space. Bathroom snd shower are very nice. Everything is spotless, from the lobby to the elevators to the room. Employees are super friendly. My favorite hotel in Midland.

We basically took over half their dining area for almost 2 weeks. Every morning when we came down they had picked things up and emptied our trash and sometimes we were pretty messy. They always had smiles on their faces and were willing to help us with whatever we needed. Some of our days started way before 5:00 and they were always willing to make coffee so we had it available before we had to leave for the day. If you are going to the Midland area this is definitely the place to stay.

They have been completely redoing it, partly due to the no-smoking laws that have been in effect for awhile. Now they can repaint, replace carpets, curtains, whatever to get rid of any smoke residue--though I commented in my review of my 2007 stay that there wasn't any smoke smell. This room had been freshly painted and was quite huge. Included in their amenities I found the room to provide a frig and microwave (always appreciated), ironing board and iron, a nice large screen TV (tho the reception was poor), a hair dryer, Kleenex, coffeemaker and coffee packs, magazines in a rack, a clock radio, a complimentary deoderant, shampoo & soap, nicer wood hangers, two extra chairs and a coffee table, and a large desk with three drawers. Ice is available from the front desk. This would be a great place for a longer stay. I know I will continue to stay here anytime I'm lucky enough to get to Pinconning for some of their wonderful cheese!

Alas, I called several times the night I was looking for a place to stay in this area and got a busy signal each time. I didn't want to make a wasted stop only to find out maybe they were closed for the season or something so I found another motel, The Northland, and had a very nice stay there for the night. I'll try this place again next trip maybe. It looks so cute from the outside. See photo I took the next day.

Small, utilitarian accommodation with marginal mattresses, scratchy linens, low quality paper products and old fixtures. The bathroom was likely remodeled sometime about a decade ago but still lack any sort of joy. The "hotel" doubles as teaching space and offers more AV amenities than anything else, including no 24hr desk nor anything above a vending machine. I couldn't even get an extra blanket or hangers! Staying on campus? This may be a fine choice. But other than being along the rail trail, this location is isolated from town. Maybe if I was a student studying for midterms I'd enjoy the remoteness, but as a traveler, not so much.

The service is incredible. The basic food package is fire but if you include the package for catering, you will not be disappointed, and quite frankly- might have the best food of your life. On the flip side, the only down fall (I say downfall lightly) is that they hosts LOVE tequila so if you're not a fan let them know ahead of time (believe me- they can accommodate to every palate). 10/10 experience every time.
