My company has been catering from Northern Fork for years and I'm always excited every time their food is brought in. For me, Northern Fork is excellent at doing elevated versions of familiar food with excellent flavor combinations and textures. I don't think I've ever had any item that I didn't enjoy but in general am delighted by what I have. Two things about the ingredients really stand out for me from this caterer. For most all of them, the vegetables are fresh and delicious, but Northern Fork's fruit is perfectly ripe and sweet. This way I never have to worry about getting a sour piece of fruit. The other thing is that I don't normally choose vegan food, but Northern Fork has managed to make everything taste delicious. Overall, everything about the food here seems to be on the healthier but still extremely tasty side and many items I've tried beat the flavor of local restaurants nearby. read more

We had Northern Fork cater heavy appetizers, desserts, and late-night food for our wedding along with their service setting everything up and bartenders. Everything exceeded mine and my husband's wants for our wedding. I was a little nervous with the different set up of not having a plated dinner but that was the perfect choice for our cost-efficient wedding. And all the appetizers and desserts and late night were SO delicious. It really exceeded our expectations. We worked specifically with Kelsey throughout the process and she was the best. We are so impressed by Northern Fork - cannot say enough good things about everything! We received a meal from a friend while we were in the hospital with our son - the Grilled Flank Steak! It was AMAZING. The champagne vinegar & green bean potato salad was absolutely delicious. I was a little nervous when I heard potato salad, but this is nothing like what I thought. I'm not normally a fan of green beans, but these were so good. The Spring Spinach Salad was simple and included ingredients I would potentially toss in on my own (craisins and walnuts), but the sweet potato crisps and shallot dressing put it over the top. It was sad when it was all gone! For Mother's Day, we decided to order from Northern Fork (since we loved our 1 meal so much) for lunch (and added on an extra dish for a few meals this week) and once again were impressed. We went for the "complete meal" option and it was perfect for our lunch. This time we ordered: Spring Spinach Salad Champagne Vinegar & Green Bean Potato Salad Veggie Kabobs (The chimmichurri sauce :) delish!) Asiago Crusted Chicken w/ Pesto Pasta (Great flavor.. can't wait to order it again) Grilled Balsamic Chicken (Wow! Simple and amazing) They delivered to our home, laid everything out for us (including dish cards explaining what was in everything - if it was Vegetarian/Gluten Free/etc), including all the utensils and the presentation of the food once the containers were opened was perfect! Our complete meal included bread and cookies - the chocolate chip & snickerdoodle are tasty! When I was placing my order, they originally told me that I was past the cutoff time, but they worked with me to get my order in and ready to go! I was so impressed with the staff's willingness to go above and beyond to take care of us and get our order placed. We have been enjoying the leftovers this week and I'll be sad when they are gone. If you're looking to cater a luncheon, party or even just get meals delivered for the week - I would highly recommend trying them out! My dad and I plan to place an order occasionally just to alleviate some weeknight cooking duties during busy weeks! The portions are generous and the food is delicious! Gosh, am I glad I finally got to try this food. My coworkers have been talking about this place since forever. This restaurant does the catering for a meeting they attend and they never stopped taking about the food. Apparently they only do catering now and no longer have a physical location... not sure if they ever did. I had their vegetable quiche, grilled veggies and their buttermilk biscuit. Everything was delicious. I am still beating myself up for not taking a picture as I was rushing to eat before getting back to work. I tried their food at a wedding expo. The bride I was with really liked their food so she wanted her bridal shower catered from there. The bridal shower which I was throwing for her. I had such high hopes for this food and for the amount that was paid to cater on a Sunday, it really was not that much food at all! We had to order more food from a pizza place close by. I was pretty embarrassed to have this little of food for the $500 minimum. For example I ordered the Korean BBQ meatballs and I these meatballs were so dang small, they were smaller than golf balls. The reviews may be correct on how he food tastes (I wouldn't know I didn't want to eat as there was not enough food for 30 people), but the amount of food was disappointing. I think if you are trying to order from here, have the right expectations on how much food you are expecting. read more

We used Northern Fork back in October for our wedding reception & could not have been more pleased!! We were given their information through a friend and contacted them. From the start, they were friendly, responsive and beyond helpful! Kathleen was our coordinator and listened to what we wanted. She has so many connections and helped us find the perfect venue (Kitchen Chicago) and we met there to go over the food menu and the layout. We were also invited to an event they had right after that, so that we could try the food and visualize the space/layout. After tons of emails & calls back & forth with Kathleen (me with questions and her always with reassuring answers), the day of the event came. Kathleen was there early, made sure that every detail was perfect and she was prepared for anything. She even went above and beyond to provide me with something personal for the evening! The food and service provided was excellent and I can't recommend them enough! If you are looking for a reasonably priced catering company that will provide top notch service, Northern Fork is the way to go!!! read more

After using this catering service for years, I am looking to back away completely. They have taken advantage of the customer with their delivery prices as well as their rip off prices on refreshments. When I tell you I've spent thousands, I have truly spent many thousands with them! I don't care how good the food is, to be treated with respect adds much more value for me than what they offer these days. Maybe train your staff -MEG in particular. I use this caterer often for business lunches and they are always on time and deliver delicious food! I recently had them cater an event at my home and the entire experience was excellent. From planning the menu to the delivery and set up to the wonderful food - the team at Northern Form really know what they're doing! Our guests loved the mini sliders and coconut shrimp and everyone hovered around the bowl of mini churros. The bartender was very nice and personable too. Even the delivery and pick up of the tables and linens was timely and professional. I highly recommend Northern Fork for catered events, big and small. I have used this company for catering for the past 9 years. They are consistently good--the food is always fresh, very good and most importantly they are always on time. If they are even running 5 minutes late I will get a phone call letting me know. Recently one of my orders got mixed up with another persons order and there were a couple of small items (condiments) missing and the driver forgot plates and utensils. The driver went and bought some right away and they comped my entire order, which was about $150. They even called and apologized again and offered to send over a complimentary dessert tray for the error. They are extremely professional and have excellent customer service. The food is always delicious and they change the menu regularly so it doesn't get boring. I would highly recommend them for your catering needs. read more
