I had to sit on a conference call with my insurance company and Merit to discover Merit electronically billed the visit without record of the payer ID, so my insurance company had no record of a claim. When I called Merit about the bill before my insurance company became involved, I was either sent to voicemail, with a promise to call me back that never happened or I spoke with an office employee that was short and rude. In fact, the office employee was rude to the insurance representative on the conference call. The office admin staff have a lot to be desired. They truly lived up to their 1 star rating!

Did have a new lower partial made but normally dentists have you come back a few times for adjustments. Not this one, he said don't come running in every time this partial feels a little off. Wait a few weeks to let you mouth get used to it. I've been wearing lower partials for years. So, I waited until I had a sore rubbing in my mouth before I went back. He has never seen me since. My partial hurts my mouth and the clamp broke off on one side right away. I have to find a dentist to fix this partial now. He had no desire to see me further even though he knew I did not have a dentist. Was it my insurance, maybe my age that made him not care to follow-up or have me schedule a cleaning, etc. But he made sure he got his money up front though. I did try to go back for adjustments but had to re-schedule a couple of times due to COVID and then when patients could be seen, I did try to schedule on line and could not get a response and finally reached the office by phone, it was difficult to get a date and time and I decided I'm done.

Since nothing was actually done incorrectly, and my real issues are with scheduling and communication, I'm bumping this up to 3 stars. I still feel like Dr. Patton was rushed. A few minutes explaining that the filling was unusually deep and I might experience pain for a few weeks or even months would have gone a long way. Went in for a filling. Waited in the chair for 30 minutes after they numbed me before they got started. I overhead that Dr. Patton had 3 people booked at once and that's why she was late. Wish they had given me the option to reschedule, but oh well. Despite being numb the filling became painful as they kept working. I wanted to ask about it, but Dr. Patton left before I was even upright. The hygienist suggested I use ibuprofen and call them if it remained painful. Since then I have been in pain and using ibuprofen to manage it. I waited a week to see if it would subside, then tried to make an appointment. After playing phone tag (I never was able to call and get a human being on the phone), I finally got a call back. Because I couldn't take their first available appointment in 3 days time due to a work meeting, I was told I would have to take one on April 14th. That's two weeks out. When I asked why I couldn't get a sooner emergency appointment I received a sarcastic 'well coudn't you move your meeting?'. No, I have to work too. Deeply displeased with this place. I don't understand all the positive reviews. I'm going to be getting this fixed elsewhere.
