After two months, multiple no-shows for appointments he himself set to sign a new contract, and now complete ghosting--ignoring calls and texts--we are done. This is not just disappointing, it is unacceptable. Consider this a clear warning: think twice before hiring him. Across multiple review platforms, you will see the same pattern repeated--poor communication, disregard for property, and a consistent failure to deliver on promises. Our experience is not an outlier; it reflects a broader issue in how this business operates. ____________________________________________________________________ Original Review: We've held off writing this review for nearly two years, hoping we wouldn't have to. Unfortunately, the latest issue made it clear we can't stay silent. This isn't something we do lightly, and we acknowledge upfront that we took a risk going with a younger contractor. We wanted to give him a shot. That was our choice--and ultimately, our lesson learned. In April 2023, we hired Buffalo Niagara Concrete to pour a new driveway, sidewalk, and back patio. Gage, the owner, was initially polite and responsive. On pour day, the crew arrived on time, but Gage left midway. At first glance, the work looked fine, but the professionalism of the crew was lacking. We even provided lunch, only to later find paper plates, pizza crusts, and other trash scattered in our yard. Tools, mesh, and leftover materials were left behind. Some were eventually retrieved, but most we had to haul away ourselves. It left the impression that once the concrete was poured, cleanup and customer care were no longer priorities. We later learned Gage hires union workers per job--not employees of his company--which makes it even more important for him to oversee and inspect the work. That did not happen in our case. Serious issues soon followed. Control joints were cut when the driveway was still too soft, leaving gouges and jagged edges. Rain then revealed a bigger flaw: the slope near our garage man door was poured wrong, causing water to pool and leak inside, damaging drywall. It took weeks to get a reply from Gage. Eventually, he sent workers to cut and repour that section, but the patch was rushed and sloppy, with chipped surrounding concrete and a mismatched finish. The remaining cuts were delayed, then finally done, but left crooked and uneven. At that point, we gave up trying to have it fixed. By spring, the driveway had significant pitting--far beyond normal wear for only two years. Several respected contractors inspected it, all agreeing it was from poor product or application. Each urged us to reach back out to Gage, noting that any reputable contractor should stand behind their work. At first, he replied quickly, asking for photos. We sent them immediately, then communication stopped. When he finally responded, his answer was simply: nothing could be done, just power wash and seal it ourselves. No inspection, no remediation, no referrals, no discount--not even the courtesy of standing behind his job. We are incredibly disappointed. We spent thousands of dollars and have had more stress and repair needs than we ever imagined--especially so soon after completion. Some parts still look fine, but knowing what we know now, we'd never hire him again. The lack of accountability, the delays in communication, and the refusal to stand behind his work are reasons we cannot recommend Buffalo Niagara Concrete. We gave every chance for this to be made right, but at this point, we hope our experience warns others: choose a contractor who is not only skilled, but also professional, reliable, and committed to standing by the quality of their work.

This is in reply to the business manager's reply to my negative review. We actually hired one of…read morethe Top firms in the area to preform the work and actually paid additional to the contract in dispute. We are very happy with their work and highly recommend Zeolla Concrete and Construction. No hassle, no bullshit just honest hard work and lived up to their agreement. Additionally our contractor invited us to see a similar project at a clients home, had no problem providing insurance documentation and was absolutely everything that Buffalo Niagara Concrete wasn't. We will be seeing them in court!!

He told me he had taken another job and might come by later that day or possibly another day. I found this to be very unprofessional. He eventually arrived the next day at 11:00 a.m. The agreement was that the stump would be ground down to lawn level so I could cover it with soil and plant grass. However, he left a large portion of the stump about a foot above ground, making it impossible to seed over it as planned. I told him I would handle cleaning up the wood chips myself, since my neighbor offered to help with his tractor. But when my neighbor saw the stump, he said the job was not done properly and that it was far too high above ground to be seeded. When I called Darren to ask if he would be returning to finish the work, he became extremely aggressive and verbally abusive--calling me a "retarded bitch" and threatening to dump debris in my driveway so I couldn't leave my house. Because of these threats, I had to file a police report and install security cameras. I refused to pay for a job that was clearly incomplete and poorly done. Everyone who has seen the stump agrees it was not properly ground down to lawn level.
