This is a nice town center style mall. I really like that style as the vibe is generally much nicer…read morethan an indoor mall. And this particular mall is one that is nicer than most in this category. Accessibility is good and there is plenty of parking. The restaurants and cinema make it a particularly nice attraction. The retail also fits our proclivities very well with nice specialty shops . There's a Trader Joe's and some other favorites like Old Navy, Carter's, Michael's and Von Mauer. It's a pleasant place to spend a day, especially if the weather's nice.

I literally had to wait outside of two different stores for someone to either come out or notice someone in a wheelchair was trying to get in. Also, way too little handicap parking places! I feel at least 80% of the spaces down the middle corridor should be handicapped parking. Those without a different capability can park in the lots around the perimeter of the mall. Another point, sloped ramps are too steep to wheel yourself up and the turn radius of ramps isn't sufficient for wheelchair users. Pained Tree and Marshals are the only stores with auto doors, wide aisles and ease of maneuvering once inside. Be better, don't just do the bare minimum for ADA compliance...ask people who have different capabilities how your mall should look and how you can be better.

Shopping local is so important to many of the small businesses in town and the City Exchange Shops provides a great platform for those small shops. There are roughly 6-7 shops ranging from popcorn, bath soaps, boutique clothing, decor, beaded jewelry and a juice bar. I enjoyed stopping into each of them, perusing through the items and talking with the people working. If you are looking for a cute little place to shop local, this is it!

It's kind of like shopping at Kohl's: Yes, the tag says you're saving 75%, but what does that mean, really? The price is always marked way up. But people like to feel like they're getting a bargain, and so these types of sales exist. I'll tell you what I do know, though, after visiting the sale. I think if you're OK not being the very first person there, you should visit the sale in the afternoon. Get there after the initial crush of people. This sale happens once a year, and it's extremely popular. But when I visited in the afternoon, I was able to walk right in without having to wait in line. It was rather pleasant! Not having to deal with people is always pleasant. And there was still a lot of stuff to choose from. I mean, there's a lot of Vera Bradley stuff. You will find bags and purses, luggage, clothing, home goods, kitchenware and even shoes. It's all Vera, all the time, all in a 100,000 square foot space. The people who work/volunteer at the sale are super friendly and enthusiastic, so there's definitely an energy about the sale. Teresa helped me connect with Jill from alterations to do the measurements. I'm ordering a custom Vietnamese dress (Ao Dai) and needed a lot of measurements done. Both Jill and Teresa spent time with me to do measurements and write them down. They're both literal angels. Highly recommend going to them if you need assistance with anything. But here you can ride a bicycle, since the roads are wide enough. And with the connecting bicycle trails to Fort Wayne. Sorry Glen-brook you blew it. Lastly, the feather-in-the-cap for Meadowbrook is it's close proximity to the railroad tracks. People can ride them until the locomotives slow down right before arriving or leaving the railroad yards. Get off the cars and walk fifty yards? Then they can shop or rest, even camp out (in the wooded area between the tracks and the mall). Until the next morning and catch the train going the other direction, all for free!

The private lot but it's basically a large room filled with dusty products that haven't been purchased and probably never will due to the age of the item. Very Amish oriented and for the people that don't live in that way the items are of zero use. This isn't a grocery store. They sell fabric and farm equipment along with kitchen wares. Lots of sewing supplies and such things along the lines of that. If there is a specific item like that you're looking for the. This would be the place. I also found the employees to be unfriendly and judgy because I wasn't Amish. Or at least that's how I felt. I wouldn't go back but it id locally owned so I would support it if I had something there I needed.
