The actual work itself was done properly and so far no leaks where the new skylight was installed. The painting and resurfacing of the new tunnel that was installed for the skylight was not that great but at least it has texture. Of course I will now have to paint the entire ceiling but I expected to have to do that anyway. The problem was with communication with the manager. I had asked for a complete final list of installed items, labor costs, payments made and balance due, which there should be NO balance as the bill was paid in full plus some. The plus some is that one item was never installed and I fully expected that the cost of the "sky tunnel" would be removed from the project cost. The only difference was I didn't have to pay $455 (sky tunnel was $845). Without the requested list I have no idea what was charged and what was not. Also the manager promised to provide this list and it never came. Three times I asked for it so that I would have something for my records. Supposedly I can claim this skylight as a tax credit because the blinds are solar powered as well as the new solar powered attic turbines. Can't do that if I don't have a final statement!! The other issue was "time management". Apparently "morning" for the manager meant anytime after 12 noon or early evening. I would be kept waiting all day. It's one thing to say you're going to be there within a certain time of day and it's another to be consistently late and NEVER COMMUNICATE that you're going to be late. A simple text or quick call would have been greatly appreciated. read more
