Every plant I've gotten at Scrim's has been beautiful and done really well. I wouldn't really say I have a green thumb, nor am I death to all houseplants--and the staff at Scrim's has always been really knowledgeable and helped me choose plants that are not toxic for my plant-chewing cat and that are pretty easy for me to care for (and therefore won't die on me). The plants have always been healthy and survived the move from the flower shop to my apartment--I have one plant that has doubled in height and is just doing beautifully. I've picked up housewarming gifts here as well, the staff are always really prompt and happy to help. Gold stars all around. Also, they do a great job wrapping up the plants for you. I picked one up in winter one time and she wrapped it a few layers to protect it from the wind and put a cute little ribbon and sticker on it--simple and pretty.

Zoom! she took off to the lower level and comes up with a very sizeable black vase filled with water. Within 15 mins, and as she said it " Im not done til its perfect". The most beautiful arrangement for $60. appeared before me a true creation/designer centerpiece I could be proud of. As I watched her assemble it I could not believe the detail and calibre of greens and florals used in the arrangement. In most shops this was worth well over $100.00. Truly this is the best little floral shop around, and a true example of small enterprise at its BEST. You wont be disappointed.

It really took away from the experience of received surprise flowers. Instead of my house smelling of lovely flowers, it stank of cigarettes for an hour until I threw all of the packaging outside.

In fact, on the second delivery, the driver said, "it's me again!" LOL Both lovely bouquets had tea roses, gerberas, and one had lilies, both with some greenery. One was in a basket with sponges supporting the blooms, and the other was in a blue glass vase. The flowers were not highly scented. I found the one with sponges hard to water as it doesn't seem absorbent. They recommend cutting 2 inches off each bloom every second day. All this to say I was very happy to receive the flowers; they really cheered me up.
