So that's a pretty good accomplishment. Anyhoot, the teachers that were there during my time there were awesome, but sadly like all of the middle school teachers except one left. But I have no doubts that qualified individuals filled their positions. The reason why I knocked a star off my review is because of the students. I got bullied for a couple of months before I told my dad what was going on after tanking the insults that were thrown at me on an almost daily basis from November-December, and maybe a bit after that even, but my dad put the foot down and issued a complaint to the principal. They dealt with it so well and fast, and I never had issues with that student again. The electives here are super enjoyable, and I'll have fond memories of of this school for a while. Sorry about this review not being super in-depth, but I tried my best to paint a picture of this place for you. :)

Bell is very welcoming to the sixth graders and helps to prepare them for Golden High School. For anyone that has Bell as their homeschool, don't be worried. We were asked to remove my son from the preschool after one month. My frustration with the school…read morelies with how the situation was handled, not the fact that he was asked to leave. If he was as violent as they say he was they were right to ask him to leave, but we have never seen this behavior anywhere else and were not allowed to observe him in the classroom so we do not know what was actually going on. We did not feel that we could trust the teachers or administration because of inconsistencies in their statements. Many of the teachers' complaints were typical preschool behaviors, especially for a child new to the Montessori setting. This made us question the validity of the more serious complaints. We were given two days notice that he needed to leave aftercare. Two weeks later we were given two days notice that he needed to leave the school. They said that they would release his records for his evaluation with Childfind but when I requested the records they stated that they would not provide them. Compass may be a great school for "typical" kids but it is not a supportive setting for children who have developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
