The comunication with the doctors and the nurses has been as great as could be expected. I guess the thing that is the most important is that everything seems clean, there aren't any weird smells, and I feel like if we needed anything, somebody would be around. Maddie the nurse was really responsible, and so was Jehnee the anesthesiology nurse. The doctor even came out before the surgery to say hi to my sister and I, apparently something that he doesn't typically do in between surgeries. I'm hoping that no news is good news...but, WHY IS THERE CARPET EVERYWHERE?! Like...I've worked in my fair share of hospitals, and i have NEVER seen so much carpeting. Like, what if there's blood?! Kinda weird....but I guess quiet and nice?

The birthing suite is finished to a high standard with all the tools you need to aid when in labour, once your baby has arrived you move to the maternity ward where you either have a private room or share with another new mum. These rooms too are comfy & well supplied. The staff are attentive & help with breast feeding, swaddling & bathing your newborn. The food although bland actually fits what you need after giving birth. All in all I would recommend if possible giving birth here, it's perfect.

The reception staff are helpful, always busy looking after someone, pretty efficient crew. The care from doctors is great and the nurse station has certainly saved me a few trips to the ER with the kids. We have always appreciated their advice and network of specialists

The receptions were friendly, the waiting area is very neat, clean and spacious and the doctors rooms were comfortable. The doctor and nurse that I had were very nice and thorough however I have one picky thing, which in hindsight is I feel annoyed about. My child had been sick for a few weeks and I was feeling the sleepless nights catching up with me so wasn't all together present. I'd overheard the receptionist say that the doctor and nurse I was seeing were running late for something, a flight perhaps. Though I was really grateful I'd got an appointment the morning I'd booked it I was not so happy to feel rushed through it. I consider myself a fairly efficient person and don't tend to dilly dally around subjects yet I felt we didn't quite have their full attention - the nurse in particular. Saying this I will certainly go back as it's likely this was a one off and my sister has nothing but great things to say about the doctors here. Cammery Medical Practice is open out of hours if you make an appointment before hand. A standard 15 minute consultation costs $75 or $55 of 0-12 year olds. No bulk billing or concessions either except for childhood immunisations, those with DVA Gold Cards or Aged Pension Cards.

Absolutely horrible service!!! And to think The royal north…read moreshore hospital was recommended to us and is our local hospital is shocking !! The waiting was not the problem The lack of hospitality, the staff and doctors not doing their job correctly nor were they taking any of their patients seriously. They couldn't display not even the bare minimum of respect. Their main priority was to go home and send their patient who had been waiting there patiently for over 6 hours on her own in intensive pain who the doctors sent her off with only a referral after informing them of her long term condition and how much pain she was in she then got told to go home after waiting there. I then contacted the hospital trying to see why they couldn't see her I explained the situation and the call kept getting forwarded to another staff member like I was a joke to them I respectfully addressed the issue with them and at the end they told me the doctors all went home only a few minutes shortly after they sent her home saying they couldn't help her and to go see a specialist ignoring the fact she is was stating how much pain she's in and how she couldn't even walk properly crying in agony she had to drive herself home at 3am after being in the hospital from before 9pm she understands the fact to wait the thing she can't understand is how someone in a health department cannot see someone in pain and rather go home then to deal with it. I recommend not to go to this hospital the northern beaches hospital is much cleaner and has better staff that are behaved in a correct manner. To the hospital: I suggest you investigate your staff, retrain, reevaluate your hospitals staff as they are not competent on keeping their patients satisfied nor are they treating their condition in the correct manner lacking in professionalism.

An art deco building with water views? Is this really a hospital?…read more My experience at Castlecrag Hospital was really quite pleasant, which was completely unexpected. It's a little hospital, built in 1928, surrounded by out-of-place looking palm trees. I half expected to see people walking around in linen suits, straw hats, and nurses all wearing white, with little white hats. That didn't turn out to be the case. Nonetheless, the staff were all so nice, and professional and personal. They seemed well organised too. The food was even pretty decent (fresh bread, reasonable soup, fresh fruit salad, ... didn't eat much else.) And ... amazingly, my cute little shared room had a water view. It all made me feel very chipper. Or maybe it's just the pain drugs. Anyway, if your health cover lets you go for a private hospital, this is a nice one to come to. They seem to do a lot of orthopedic stuff, and do not have an emergency ward. I tend to think Yelp is not the place for medical-related reviews, but since this one is positive, I doubt anyone is going to sue me.

I had the fortune to be cared for at this facility recently and was most delighted to find myself reclining in my own suite with waterviews down Middle Harbour. Think 5-star HOspiTEL. With it's already impressive facade, attention has been turned to the interiors which I noted as I was wheeled past some painters on the way to theatre. They were busy eradicating some particularly nasty terracotta walls and I was busy finding an angle that would flatter my ageing jawline. The nursing staff were attentive, prompt to respond to calls to action and just a healthy amount of jaded. The care I received was outstanding and the medication was pretty good too - which is perhaps why I slurred to the Night Nurse. "You know you have such a wonderful way about you, you were born to do this. You're my little Florence aren't you. I think it's your smile. It makes me feel safe. Can I take you home. I feel sleepy. Did I pee?". Thankfully for all the Morphine kicked in at this point.
