A modern, clean and sterile healthcare facility owned by Primary Health Care. You would be forgiven for thinking that you are being treated at a small private hospital. The lounges in the waiting area is comfortable and inviting, and their on-site x-ray and pathology facilities are pretty good. It is great to be able to have these pivotal tests done at the one place. You do not generally have to wait for too long; unless you turn up immediately after work during a weekday or at lunchtimes during the week; other times including weekends are the best times to come here. The Doctors are fairly good; although the consultations with a couple of them could go for a little longer. It is great they ring you to come in if your test results aren't that great; and also if a Doctor promises you that they will send you something; they honour their word and do this without fail. Definitely a great medical centre for when it is needed.

Jason advised this was not possible as I would need to go in for a consultation - I advised that I understand that, but because I had already seen the Dr and been provided with a script - could be please ask a Dr and he was not even willing to ask - he told me he just wouldn't. Now I understand there are policies in place but had Jason just showed some decent curiosity and asked a simple question to a Dr I would of felt "heard" - especially when I'm clearly feeling stressed over my bag being stolen. Jason, buddy, you have really made what I consider a constant joy of a Drs surgery to attend - into a negative experience that I will not forget anytime soon.

Fresh Therapeutics Chemist is conveniently located next door so you can get your prescriptions filled straight after your appointment. This practice is quite large, which has its pros and cons. You can book appointments online quite easily, and have an overview of which doctors are available when, and what ailments they specialize in. Because of how big this place is, they can provide at least an initial consultation for most health issues, and then refer you on to specialists as needed. The front desk staff have a lot to do, and as a result may not always come off as being very friendly or polished, but I got the feeling that they would be able to answer any questions I might have had, and I saw them making a real effort to answer the phones. I interacted with the front desk to pay a $70 consultation fee for each of my appointments (I'm not covered by Medicare). As with any doctor's office, I always aim to arrive early in case there are forms to fill out, and am then prepared to wait because other people's appointments always run over--and when it's my turn to see the doctor, I want their full attention, rather than feeling they are rushing to get to the next patient. In my two appointments here, one (scheduled for midday) started twenty minutes late, while the other (scheduled for 9:10 started early). As a relatively young person, I'm very conscious of whether or not I'm being listened to, and I really appreciated that both doctors I've seen here were genuinely interested in my health problems and suggested multiple ways of addressing them. As a result, I actually have confidence that the doctors here know what they are doing--in the past, I've met with doctors who prescribed antibiotics without running any tests, and written leave of absence notes for work after barely examining me. It's also helpful that there is a pharmacy on site, as well as physio and psychology services. This is definitely a buzzing "health hub" as a result, and attracts a broad audience, but that seems to be a testament to the quality and convenience of this service. I don't necessarily look forward to doctor's appointments, but now that I've found Broadway General Medical, at least I don't have to dread them.

It's a lot less generic and a lot more personal care than those horrible Mcmedical centres popping up everywhere. You know, a proper doctor's practice. The GPs are all fairly professional, speak good English and care about their patients overall well-being, not just an assembly line legal drug pusher's residence. They also have very good on site pathology and counseling services and they offer bulk-billing. Although booking ahead is essential, so not generally the best for a serious emergency. But if you live in the neighbourhood and need a good regular GP I'd definitely recommend them.

As this place doesn't bulk bill, its best not used for common colds and the like, for which there is a bulk bill practice down the road near Hyde Park. I came here when I needed something checked out and the staff were great. My doctor took time to listen to my concerns and did all the necessary tests. The pathology lab is also next door which is really convenient. Follow ups and referrals were all handled professionally. Its weird but I never felt like I was in some queue and that they had to get as many patients in and out as possible, even though it was a medical centre. So if you need something more serious than the flu to be checked out, I would rather pay the fee and come here as you will get better service.
