I had, perhaps the worst medical experience of my life when I last visited Bondi Doctors. I had called and made an appointment for a bad illness I had at the time. I attended the clinic promptly - filled in the necessary forms and was asked to wait. Doctors clinics are always busy, so waiting to be seen is obviously something completely understandable. Being handled shockingly by the snooty receptionist who work at this particular clinic isn't acceptable. The clinic was empty that day (11am on a Wednesday). After being asked to wait more than an hour (and seeing other people who had arrived afterwards without bookings being sent in front of me) - I politely asked the receptionist if the wait for my appointment was going to be much longer. I was told "Because you were 2 minutes late, I decided that others required more urgent medical treatment than you". I asked her if she was a doctor - and was told she wasn't. After hearing that, I decided it just wasn't worth it and left. Well done, Bondi Doctors on hiring a receptionist who, despite any medical qualifications, is the one to decide how 'sick' a patient is. Wont be returning - and from all i've heard from others who live in the area, i'm not missing much. read more

I was treated like i wasn't even sick when I dragged myself out of bed to get there. The doctor opened with the comment "we don't back date certificates" before I even had a chance to sit down- it was Monday so I'm not sure where that came from. I had the worst flu that I had ever encountered and hadn't been able to move for 3 days but she made me feel like it was an inconvenience to even bother seeing me. Now I remember why I stopped going there quite some time ago, bad move to give them another chance, it was close and convenient but I would rather travel 20 km than go back there again. The fact that you have to pay for this rudeness made it even worse. Silver lining- the receptionist was lovely unfortunately she can't treat patients. read more

I know of two cases of people who were NOT INFORMED after a positive test result. Never in my life have I ever heard of a practice not informing patients of a positive test result and I would call this NEGLIGENT and would question the ethics of both the doctors and the practice. This practice, the doctor in question and the staff who responded to the situation should have a harder look at their responsibilities and should be extremely fortunate that no further action was taken by the patients affected. The other issue is that this practice markets itself as a 'caring and personal, contemporary practice', but reality is they are less caring and personal than many of the local walk in places nearby. You are just a number in the system with very little care for your personal health. Whatever improves the bottom line! The doctors themselves are hugely variable, hence the high turnover rate. Some are warm and some are exceptionally cold and clinical. The management staff and administration staff here are horrible. They are incredibly stuck up and treat patients as just a number. They do not give patients any respect or benefit of the doubt and are just pushing cash through to the business. I've seen staff speak rudely to patients in regards to their billing's, and many patients are taken advantage of. Particularly when the standard appointment seems to mysteriously end up being longer to an extended appointment without the patients knowledge. I would encourage anyone going here, especially if you're concerned about mental, sexual health as well as anything you might feel uncomfortable by to look elsewhere. read more

I tried to make an appointment at bondi doctors this morning but was greeted on the phone with a "yeh". When I asked if it was the medical centre, another "yeh". Now if it was old Baz down the road, no problem but when I'm calling a doctors office a level of professionalism is expected. When I tried to reaffirm it was an actual doctors clinic and not cranky old Baz, i was told that perhaps I should have listened the first time. No sweat chops. Good doctors, but I've very disappointed in the administration. They lost/misplaced my family's medical records. I hand delivered 15 years worth of medical records from the US to be added to my file upon moving here 2 years ago. I ignorantly gave them the originals as I was promised there wouldn't be a problem getting them at any point. When we went to have the records transferred to a new doctor (which took months- and only after I asked to pick them up in person) we found out only a few pages had been added and the rest was lost! I found out today that this also included my sons vaccination record from the US (something I know they had because they referenced it for makeup shots) and I learned that they never created a Immunization History Statement for him. Thank goodness I was smart to keep a photo copy of his record as without it I wouldn't be able to register him for school this year. I'm so very frustrated with their practice and the fact they could misplace such important information. read more

I've been a well looked after patient of Bondi doctors for several years now and I highly recommend this practice. There's a certain warmth and care to the practice from the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly reception staff and was promptly seen by the GP who was so attentive and knowledgeable. I've seen 4 different GP's at Bondi Doctors and I walked out of the practice each time feeling that I was given the best care. Thank you Bondi doctors for keeping me well. read more

The worst experience ever. Dr Emma Fist (yes I'll name and shame her) was the rudest doctor I have ever come across. She has no people skills and had to look up some doctors symptoms database because obviously didn't know what she was doing! I've been sick for 3.5 months non-stop and this isn't enough for her to want to get more blood tests to find out what is wrong with me. I have lost my sense of taste and she doesn't think it's anything to worry about and just said to 'wait it out'. She is useless and a waste of space! DO NOT BOOK IN WITH HER!!! Does not care about her patients and then tells me to not book in with her again as I was leaving because I also see a naturopath and she doesn't believe in them! Fuck her!!! read more

What a great practice. Caring doctor and helpful friendly front desk. I've been a regular for several years and the ability to make an appointment with my doctor who is ON TIME is a refreshing change from the past. read more

Extremely rude reception staff. Expensive even for a quick appointment. They don't run on time and if you run late you are charged $30. Avoid!!!! read more
