I said well still i know that i am allergic to dustmites is it necessary? He said yes lets do it. So yes now i will have to pay $75 for my food allergy tests because not only is he incompetent he is also a liar. And what do you know i am still allergic to dustmites thanks Dr Dips**t. IF you VALUE your health under no circumstances should you go hear. AVOID THIS PRACTISE.

They booked me in for 9:40am on the 25th, for what I understood to be an extended appointment. I went in, and saw a doctor who didn't bother to introduce himself (He was Caucasian, short balding hair and had an accent.) He asked me why I was there, and I started with my most pressing problem... an injured back which had caused me to fly home from a holiday a month early. I needed to be diagnosed and treated, but also I needed a letter for insurance purposes (Not for medical treatment, but for flight changes I paid for out of pocket). I immediately sensed a shift in his attitude, and I felt like he was calling me a scam artist or something. I distinctly felt "judged". Without me even lifting my shirt, he told me it was just muscular, and an insurance company would never pay for it. He did not know who my insurer was, nor had he even done anything more than make a snap judgment on my condition. He had me stand up, and show him my range of movement. I bent forward, backwards, and side to side. I assure you, there wasn't much range. Maybe 20% of what I normally enjoy. He said "I have a good range of movement". Maybe if I was 80... In any case, the move that most aggravated my back was any twisting motion. (Even rolling over in bed proved painful). He didn't check that range of motion. In fact, he still hadn't even asked me where the pain was, or touched the affected area at this point. When I brought that to his attention, he said "I assume this is lower back pain?". It wasn't. It was mid back. He finally inspected the area closer, and stuck to his guns, saying it was "just" muscular. I told him I didn't really care whether I had a broken spine or a sore back - I just needed a doctor to say that it was injured and how, so I could present it to the insurance company as requested. Reluctantly, he typed up a wishy washy letter, printed it out, folded it, and told me I'd have to give the girl at the front desk $50. When I enquired as to why, he said "Medicare doesn't cover insurance claims". I have no idea if there's any truth to this, but I was 5 minutes into a 10 minute appointment. I told him that I had other issues to discuss, to which he replied "you didn't make a double appointment". First of all, I did. Secondly, I actually didn't need to... there was time left in my STANDARD appointment. Thirdly, if a fee was due for the "insurance letter", he should have let me know that BEFORE writing it. Lastly, at no point did he offer me any TREATMENT advice. In the end, I angrily walked out. The standard of medical "care" he provided was atrocious, and the abuse of Medicare was too - Appointment times are 10 minutes, and he tried to hustle me out the door after 5. His bedside manner was appalling, and I could have been forgiven for thinking he was on the payroll of various insurance companies. He seemed more interested in protecting them than treating me. Absolute Scam.

A modern, clean and sterile healthcare facility owned by Primary Health Care. You would be forgiven for thinking that you are being treated at a small private hospital. The lounges in the waiting area is comfortable and inviting, and their on-site x-ray and pathology facilities are pretty good. It is great to be able to have these pivotal tests done at the one place. You do not generally have to wait for too long; unless you turn up immediately after work during a weekday or at lunchtimes during the week; other times including weekends are the best times to come here. The Doctors are fairly good; although the consultations with a couple of them could go for a little longer. It is great they ring you to come in if your test results aren't that great; and also if a Doctor promises you that they will send you something; they honour their word and do this without fail. Definitely a great medical centre for when it is needed.

As this place doesn't bulk bill, its best not used for common colds and the like, for which there is a bulk bill practice down the road near Hyde Park. I came here when I needed something checked out and the staff were great. My doctor took time to listen to my concerns and did all the necessary tests. The pathology lab is also next door which is really convenient. Follow ups and referrals were all handled professionally. Its weird but I never felt like I was in some queue and that they had to get as many patients in and out as possible, even though it was a medical centre. So if you need something more serious than the flu to be checked out, I would rather pay the fee and come here as you will get better service.

She's an extremely busy woman (appointments are recommended) but during my check-ups, I always feel like that half hour belongs to me, and I have her full attention. From the Barker Street entrance just follow the purple path to the elevator, go to the 2nd floor and continue on until you see the sign that says Billington Centre. Easy peasy. Sheree schedules appointments and also checks you in upon arrival. Due to Covid, scheduling was dramatically impacted so I'm guessing Sheree fielded lots of frantic or distressed people wanting to know when they could schedule their procedure. Sheree is friendly and professional and helpful and calm(!). I applaud her and thank her! This unit has several nurses and members of staff, all kind and friendly. Stephen Butler!!! I don't know if I kept him laughing or if he kept me laughing but, I can not thank him enough for his professionalism, friendliness, too. Gareth and Stephen have a fantastic rapport with each other and it radiates to everyone else. Gareth gave me my post-procedure information and instructions, also answered my questions and another friendly face of this unit. Dr Sorayya is the anaesthetists' intern who explained everything, what to expect, and answered all my questions. Naturally, each member of this well coordinated team followed up with me afterwards, making sure I was doing alright. I was pleasantly surprised to have a follow up phone call from Stephen the day after my procedure. The teamwork and professionalism exhibited deserve kudos to every member of this team and of the unit as well as the Billington Centre. Private for a visit. For such a monolithic complex it's remarkably easy & straightforward to park, navigate and get where you're going. From car to kisses was about 3 minutes, with a 1 minute break to help a blind man out the front of the sliding doors find a bench to sit down on. The rooms are clean, well-appointed, the nurses nicely starched, and everything had an air of well-looked-after-ness. In place of the jello and custard my patient event had a fresh chicken salad sitting in her food table - hospital vittles have come a long way. Even got to see a bit of boob in the new baby feeding room. Of course, I'm sure they're paying for the privilege, but still. Schmick.

There is actually only one doctor (Mrs Mira Andric). My actual consult was pretty close to the appointment time, although they require full payment for the consult, I could claim my Medicare rebate immediately while at the clinic. The GP has a good list of specialists in the CBD she provides referrals to, and they respect her referrals. In addition her partner does mole scans on Fridays at the clinic. An appointment for a scan can be a month or so away. He is thorough and keeps a record for future reference of potential suspicious moles.

I've been here twice in one week (bad luck, right?) after the recommendation of a friend, and…read morefinally feel like I've found "my" doctor in Sydney (I've lived here two years). This practice is quite large, which has its pros and cons. You can book appointments online quite easily, and have an overview of which doctors are available when, and what ailments they specialize in. Because of how big this place is, they can provide at least an initial consultation for most health issues, and then refer you on to specialists as needed. The front desk staff have a lot to do, and as a result may not always come off as being very friendly or polished, but I got the feeling that they would be able to answer any questions I might have had, and I saw them making a real effort to answer the phones. I interacted with the front desk to pay a $70 consultation fee for each of my appointments (I'm not covered by Medicare). As with any doctor's office, I always aim to arrive early in case there are forms to fill out, and am then prepared to wait because other people's appointments always run over--and when it's my turn to see the doctor, I want their full attention, rather than feeling they are rushing to get to the next patient. In my two appointments here, one (scheduled for midday) started twenty minutes late, while the other (scheduled for 9:10 started early). As a relatively young person, I'm very conscious of whether or not I'm being listened to, and I really appreciated that both doctors I've seen here were genuinely interested in my health problems and suggested multiple ways of addressing them. As a result, I actually have confidence that the doctors here know what they are doing--in the past, I've met with doctors who prescribed antibiotics without running any tests, and written leave of absence notes for work after barely examining me. It's also helpful that there is a pharmacy on site, as well as physio and psychology services. This is definitely a buzzing "health hub" as a result, and attracts a broad audience, but that seems to be a testament to the quality and convenience of this service. I don't necessarily look forward to doctor's appointments, but now that I've found Broadway General Medical, at least I don't have to dread them.
